- NOT AN ORDINARY GARDEN TOOL - Most rakes on the market scoop small amounts of leaves, but often bend and break under pressure. This causes back problems and wastes your precious time on projects that should be quick and easy. Switch to our Rake Assassin, and youll see an astounding difference during your outdoor projects. Its perfect for men and women.
- STURDY HANDLE - Most rake handles dig into your hands, whether they are plastic or wood. Our expertly-designed rake handle is durable and made of heavy-duty, lightweight, powder-coated aluminum with a plastic D-handle. It isnt prone to chipping and rusting like your average metal rake handle. Its 58 long and weighs just 1.75 lbs. And the 2-piece aluminum pole makes transport and storage easy.
- WORK WITH EASE - No matter what outdoor task you have to accomplish with your Rake Assassin, it will do the job in half the time it would take with an ordinary rake. Whether you are removing grass, leaves, tree waste, pruning clippings, fallen fruit, or moss, your Rake Assassin will be your yards new best friend. It can skim your swimming pool better than most nets and has shoveling capabilities.
- MORE THAN A RAKE - Our Rake Assassin has a unique design that uses innovative technology to make raking and cleaning up a breeze. The bend in the bottom half of the pole allows you to roll the handle to convert the rake into a shovel. With the Rake Assassin, you can draw the pile of leaves or waste to you and then scoop it up with a simple hand motion. No need for plastic hands or another rake!

Size of the rake!!
Love the rake it's a little smaller in dimensions then I thought it would be, but very strong and I'm very happy with the rake, it's not flimsy it doesn't break like the regular plastic duforks do.

SO Amazing to scoop mulch!
My husband ordered this for me to scoop mulch. I do a lot of gardening and have multiple flower beds in my yard. This year I had 10 yards of mulch delivered. It scoops the mulch so much easier than a shovel because of the “teeth”. I then scoop it into my garden cart and take it wherever I need to spread it. When I scoop it to spread it, I can either “dump” it in a pile OR shake it to spread a thinner top layer. I can also invert it and use it to rake or spread the mulch out. I would definitely recommend to all gardeners that use mulch and I’ve recommended this to family and friends. I did not get paid in any way to submit this review, I just have found it so very useful and wish I would have gotten this years ago!

Better Light-weight Shovel than Full-function Rake
I actually like raking, so you can stop reading this now and move on to the next worthy review if you cannot fathom that being true. I have had experience with multiple rakes over the last 20 years of raking over 100,000 leaves a year here in the northeast. I was excited to try out this one out mostly because I have been sold on how much a difference a feather weight rake like my favorite, the Fiskars Leaf Rake, has been in making the chore not only easier but more aerobic as you can rake for longer durations before taking a muscle break. Leave blowers seem like the logical practice for those dealing with large acreage lots, but I’m sticking green even though neighbors left and right of me are waking the neighborhood up with decibels of blow beasts reshaping their yards. The Rake Assassin promised low weight with it’s aluminum shaft and plastic raker but also the benefit of being able to forgo the labor-intensive bending needed to pick up, lift and load a garbage can with its shovel like design. This function ended up being its best feature after using it for a couple of days of testing out, but it unfortunately compromises the main functionality of raking itself. The rake head design is not wide enough to be efficient in gathering leaves and the stiff plastic used to strengthen the shovel shape doesn’t allow for effective raking. As a result, you end up raking more for the shoveling benefit. And whereas the shoveling works fairly well, it requires using a garbage can with its wideset opening rather than the simpler option of just using bags. Furthermore, it doesn’t eliminate the bending time required to squash the leaves once in the can or bag as part of the usual packing process, so I find it actually more efficient to do the pickup and pack process as one motion with a convention rake. Delivery was great. Packaging was great. Assembly was pretty straight forward, although I added one layer of duct tape on the shaft after screwing on the rake head to eliminate a slight but annoying wobble and get a snugger fit. My Fiskars Leaf Rake remains the pro raker’s best choice in my opinion, but this Rake Assassin can have its purpose to those looking to rake mostly large sand and gravel areas. I actually used it to rake powdery snow off my gravel driveway with decent results. At the price I paid however, this is not a great value. It just made the premium price of the Fiskars Leaf Rake Fiskars Leaf Rake seem more like a bargain. Happy raking to all!

Great product, if…
I love the design of the Root Assassin Rake, but I would make a few changes. The pin that holds the rake to the handle fell out the first time I used it. I was able to replace it with a screw and keep on going. I also wish the tines were stronger—I haven’t broken any, but I’m always afraid that I’m going to. I was hoping that I could also use this to pick up dog droppings, but it’s not very effective for that—tines are too far apart, and unless the poop is frozen it will just make a big mess. Great for sifting lumps out of dirt and for leveling out fresh dirt over grass seed—made this chore so easy! Very useful in leaf cleanup as well.

Picking up leaves from a huge oak tree!
We have a huge oak tree that drops leaves at least 10 months of the year, so I blow the leaves all into one corner and pick them up with this rake. Makes the job so much easier!

Handy tool but over-priced!
This is a unique, handy tool for picking up light debris in conditions that would be difficult with other yard tools. I have found it useful for spilled wood chips in the lawn, etc, where debris can be gathered to one spot, like a rake, but then scooped up out of the grass much more easily than with a rake, shovel, pitchfork or by hand. That said, it is ridiculously over-priced for the materials that went into it. The handle is very light-weight metal tubing, which makes it very light to use but also makes the durability questionable for such an expensive tool. It feels like the handle could be easily bent or broken. It would be a good value at about half the price - I paid $50. I'm keeping it, because of the unique capabilities that I don't find in other lawn/garden tools, but I am rating it only 3 stars because of my feeling that it's not a great value at this price-point. 8-2-2021 Update I have had this tool almost a year now and it has held up fine, so far. In addition to the uses I mentioned earlier, I've found it useful for picking up rocks from the surface of the soil after tilling a garden. I don't have to bend over to pick rocks, which my back really appreciates. The tool can handle rocks up to the size of a large tomato without problems. The tines are flexible, so they bend rather than breaking if they're stressed by too much weight or force. I still think it's overpriced, but it has held up so far.
