These shelves are a good value for the price, easy to assemble, and good sized. But I wouldn’t load them with tires or car batteries. They just don’t seem sturdy enough for that kind of strain. Overall I am happy I bought 3 of them for storing sports equipment and getting my garage floor back. I was tripping over compound bows and cases for the last several years, and now they all have a home.

I just ordered a 3rd one of these. Why these are fantastic: - Extremely easy to build - Strong as hell - I loaded this with tons of gear and tools and it doesn't wobble - Really good wheels - even with lots of weight, they roll easily on a mostly smooth floor. The wheels are fairly large. - Adjustable height down to the inch (each of the marks I think are 1 inch apart) - Stable when on wheels. I tried shaking it and it doesn't tip. Perhaps less stable without the wheels - Option to put adjustable height rubber feet on if you don't want to roll it around. Note, one of the shelves got a bit bent in transit. It still fit on fine, and I put it as the top shelf as I am not putting anything heavy on there. It isn't a big deal, but out of two packages, I guess one of them got dropped. I don't think it was a big enough deal to ding them a star for the ding :)

Great storage shelving, easy to put together and holds lots of weight. The only small problem I have is that the wheels did not lock properly. I purchased one several years ago and use that one in the garage for storing tools and other stored items, and a smaller version for groceries & canned goods, also in the garage. I purchased this storage rack for displaying items at my upcoming-estate sale. Great space saver for small areas.

2 of 5 collapsed. Nowhere near 1200 lbs capacity, or even half that.

Update- Within a couple of weeks another wheel, this one screwed in, bent and caused the entire unit co collapse, damaging property on the shelves and in the vicinity. Nowhere near half the listed weight for these shelves. These shelves provide a lot of storage for a good price, they look nice, and they are easy to assemble and adjust. The first problem with them is that the stated capacity of 1200 lbs is a real stretch. Even distributing the weight perfectly evenly, with a low center of gravity, across all six shelves, I would not go that high. For actual usage I would not go over 600. If I was planning on rolling it I would not trust it with over 300, and would take everything off the higher shelves before doing so. The second problem is that 1 of the 5 shelving units I ordered came with a defective roller. The rollers screw into the bottom of each pole, and one of them came unthreaded and with an undersized post. I tried to use it anyways, and it almost immediately bent, fell off, and would have caused a lot of damage if I had not immediately caught it and maneuvered it into a position where a wall could take most of the weight while I took everything off. Luckily the shelves come with stationary feet as well, so the shelf can still be used, though not moved. The good points about these units are that they are the best price around per linear foot of shelving, they assemble very easily and quickly, and the shelves can be adjusted to hold different sized items. For most of the shelves I have a large area for the bottom shelf, a slightly smaller area for the second, bankers box height for the third and fourth, and a very short distance between the 5th and top shelf to hold smaller, lighter items. Putting most of the weight on the bottom is important for all stand-alone shelving units, but these especially feel unstable if heavy items are put more than half way up. The adjustability is easy, but ,having used shelving like this with compression sleeves before, it is many times easier to do before they sit with weight on them for a long time, since the shelves just get tighter and tighter on the sleeves holding them up.

Sturdy Enough, Served the Purpose!

I purchased this to organize and store our camping equipment in our basement. It's not heavy duty shelf, but it is sturdy enough. I placed the heavy bins ( 20 plus pounds) on the bottom shelf and organized everything from heavy to light from the bottom to the top shelf. The 2 heavy bins aren't visible in the pic. It held all of our camping gear except tents, chairs and tables. The wheels are a plus. I can maneuver it as needed. It is the perfect height and depth, nothing juts out.

NOT AS HEAVY DUTY AS IT CLAIMS

This is not as heavy duty as it claims. After I loaded with probably about 100lbs worth of stuff, give or take 20 lbs, one of the wheels was bent and the rack was tilting. I had to take everything off the rack b/c the tilt was so bad from the weight. Then I was able to manually manipulate the bend with my bare hands (so clearly not heavy duty) enough so that I can put everything back on. It was the attachment to the wheel that bent, that goes into the rack. The rack itself was very flimsy and I had to distribute heavy stuff accordingly. I dont have a lot of faith in the stability of this thing and we try not to use the wheels as little as possible. I was already all the way in with assembling and loading it, but I would not recommend this if you truly need a heavy duty rack. If you need something for light storage, it's great.

Practical and great price point. These are not as sturdy as others I have bought. The metal is thinner and has more give to it. Great for lighter items which is what I bought it for. Would not buy for heavy items. For my purpose they work.

Well Built Shelving

These racks were well constructed and easy to assemble. Their weight, given their sturdiness, was surprisingly lighter weight than expected. If we discover we are in need of additional storage shelves, this will be our go to item.
