Full disclosure - I am not a mechanic! What I actually do is design and make jewelry. This stool is perfect in my jewelry studio because I can keep my most used tools - hammer, pliers, wire cutters, etc. - where they are easily reachable without cluttering up my worktable. Because the stool rolls, I can move from my worktable to my shelving units to grab what I need without getting up, and the adjustable height means I can easily position myself as I need to when working on a large piece. It was super easy to assemble and has some of the best assembly directions I've ever seen! Assembled it by myself in less than 15 minutes. This stool is also very comfortable, both the seat and the back, so I can work without taking lots of breaks to stretch. And while it might not matter to some, it's an attractive piece of furniture (not just functional) and looks good sitting in my studio when I'm not working. Highly recommend this stool whether you're a mechanic in a garage or an artist in a studio.

A shop has a 36-inch workbench with a computer and a 28-inch work table with too little space for two separate seats. A new $79.99 rolling stool, while well-welded with a durable black e-coat paint, fails to reach the high workbench comfortably and features thin, uncomfortable seat padding that bottoms out quickly. I must have received a prototype model to review, because it does not match the current photos. It rolls nicely, I'll give it that. Otherwise, meh.

This mechanic stool is an excellent addition to my garage and has made working on my cars a much more comfortable experience, especially considering the great, affordable price point. Assembly was incredibly easy because the instructions were very clear, and it surprisingly did not require many screws to put together. The heavy parts feel exceptionally durable and heavy-duty, giving me full confidence that it will last a long time in a tough shop environment and making it an absolute steal for the money. The comfort level is outstanding, especially with the built-in backrest providing great support during long repair sessions. I also love the design of the storage tray at the bottom; it is a very generous size and perfectly holds all my active tools and parts right where I need them. This heavy‑duty rolling mechanic stool is a solid upgrade for anyone working in a garage, workshop, or detailing bay. The steel construction feels extremely sturdy, and the pneumatic height adjustment is excellent. The piston feels durable, adjusts instantly, has no wobble and remains firm at whatever height it's adjusted to. The smooth rolling casters glide easily across concrete, and the 360° swivel seat plus supportive back rest make long jobs much more comfortable and help maintain better ergonomic posture. The large circular tool tray is a huge bonus. It holds a ton of tools and hardware and also works great as a foot rest, keeping everything within reach and improving workflow. Assembly was quick and straightforward thanks to the heavy‑duty hardware with pre‑applied thread locker, and the included hex tool, which helps ensure the stool stays tight and secure even with daily use. A few things could be improved. The back rest isn’t adjustable, and while it fits me perfectly, some people may find the fixed height less ideal. The seat material picks up marks from natural hand oils easily, making it look dirty even when it’s clean. And although the cushion is thick, it’s not as dense as I expected. I'm about 250 lbs and after a short while it compresses enough that I can feel the edge of the base on the back of my legs. Overall, this is a durable, well‑built shop stool with excellent mobility, storage, and adjustability. A few comfort tweaks would make it perfect, but it’s still a great choice for automotive repair, detailing, and general workshop use.

If you're still using an old five-gallon bucket or crouching on the cold garage floor like I used to, you really need to upgrade to this rolling shop stool. Sitting at eye level with your brakes, tires, or lower body panels without straining your knees or lower back makes garage projects so much more enjoyable. Setting it up out of the box was a total breeze. It goes together just like a basic office chair, taking maybe seven or eight minutes tops with zero fuss. Once it's built, the quality really stands out. The padded backrest and cushion feel super comfortable, and the height adjusts smoothly so you can dial in the exact working level you need. The bottom storage tray is an awesome feature because it keeps your sockets, wrenches, and spare hardware right beneath you instead of scattered all over the floor. The wheels roll really nicely across concrete, and the 360-degree swivel lets you spin around and grab tools effortlessly. It's not just for the garage either—it works great for pet grooming, detailing, barbering, or any project where you need to be seated down low for a while. Overall, it's a super functional, sturdy, and comfortable chair that offers fantastic value for your money. I picked this up for my husband, and he has been really happy with it. Assembly was quick and straightforward, and once it was put together, it felt very sturdy. The seat cushion is about 2 inches thick and provides a comfortable amount of padding, especially for longer projects. The pneumatic height adjustment works smoothly, and all of the moving parts, including the swivel and rolling casters, operate effortlessly. It rolls easily around the garage without feeling wobbly, and the backrest adds nice support while working. One feature I really like is the storage tray. If you’re using it in a garage or workshop, it’s great for keeping tools, screws, and other small items within reach. But if you don’t need the compartments, you can simply flip the tray over for a clean, smooth appearance, making it just as useful in other spaces like a craft room, salon, or hobby area. Overall, it’s a well-built, comfortable rolling stool that feels solid, moves smoothly, and offers a nice combination of comfort and functionality.
