This is a pretty good value. It's about $10 less than the local parts store and I get free 2-day shipping. Pros - Great value for the price - Includes copper washers - Brackets fit perfectly Cons - The bracket for the upper control arm (UCA), while it fits on the UCA perfectly, is clamped on the hose a little too far down on the hose. When the hose was attached and the wheels turned all the way to the left, this being the driver side hose, it created too much tension on the hose, especially at the point were the hose bent going into the bracket that holds the hose to the steering knuckle. As a solution to this, I drilled a hole in the UCA bracket 5/16" from the top, that being the portion of the bracket closet to the chassis. This created enough slack to take the strain off of the hose at the steering knuckle bracket. - This hose did not contain a banjo bolt like the Dorman H381299 Hydraulic Brake Hose that I purchased from Amazon. ... show more

Seems to be made well and doesn't leak. As other reviewers mentioned one of the steel mounting plates isn't in the correct location and stretches the rubber hose at steering lock to one direction. I was able to slide the hose through the metal without bending anything and achieved proper clearance in both directions. Used on a 2002 GMC sierra 2wd pickup truck. ... show more

    • Fit great with slight modification
As other reviews have stated, the UA mounting bracket needs to be loosened and repositioned so there is enough slack to turn the wheel all the way to stop. Aside from that, the hose fit great and has worked fine.

    • Good Replacement Hose, But In Need Of Some Adjustment
A good replacement brake hose. Only problem is that the brackets on it need to be loosened up and the hose needs to be pulled down a bit after being installed. If you don't do this, the hose is pulled to tight where it attaches to the caliper when the wheel is turned. Pry open the brackets around the hose a bit, pull down on the hose while turning the wheel back and forth. Check that the hose has proper slack. When proper slack is found, tap brackets back tight (around the hose) lightly with a hammer. ... show more
