I will admit to being somewhat ignorant on the subject of inline skates, but I did some research before getting these for our son and these seem to a reasonably decent option fur use as beginner skates for a kid. These skates are adjustable with a size ranging three full men's sizes. There is a button on the front side of each skate that allows the user to increase and decrease the foot length of the skate. There appear to be four setting notches on the skate for sizing that let it grow an inch from the smallest size. This ability to resize makes it great for use with a growing kid’s feet and significantly increases the longevity of the skate, though this is not a unique feature by any means. The skates are secured with a plastic locking strap, a velcro strap and laces, making them pretty secure when in use. The frame itself is a hard plastic with a joint at the ankle. I’m not sure what plastic was used for the frame as the manufacturer doesn’t include that info in the box though it does claim that the frame is reinforced. It does feel pretty robust, however, and the thicker portions around the wheels resists too much bending and flexing. The right skate has a heel stop that is replaceable using an allen wrench. The interiors of the skates are nicely padded with a soft insole. My son claims they are comfortable, and given the design, I’m not worried about chafing on the ankles. Padding and support is quite adequate. The wheels are 70mm polyurethane wheels with a hockey style profile. The skates include allen wrenches for removing and replacing the wheels if needed. I can’t speak to the bearing as that’s outside of my knowledge, though I will note that the two center wheels on both skates don’t roll as freely as the outside wheels Our son is new to skating, but he’d really enjoyed learning so far with these skates. They look nice with the black, gray and red accents and appears to be reasonably well made. It’s hard to know exactly how durable they will be, but so far, we’re quite satisfied with them. ... show more

These are great! They fit exactly as expected. The tighten in three areas, two through click lock buckles and one area with laces. I love that they can grow with him so that they can last longer. Adjusting the size is as easy as the push of a button! They feel very sturdy too! I'm very happy with them, only problem is trying to get my son to take them off! ... show more
