I wear a size 8.5-9 these fit very snug in a size 8 . I’m glad I didn’t get a bigger pair , feels good . The wheels roll nice and they are doing what I expected after not skating for 30 years Haha ! great pair for starting all over again and the price is awesome . Good for indoor and out so far . If you are like me and skeptical about these skates , the size is good either true to size or a size down should be ok …they looked really small but the laces are so long and it allows you to tailor them to your size. Having fun , I fell but got back up again! Get them , you won’t be sorry and for the price , just DO IT ! ... show more

As a newbie, these skates are excellent both for the price point and quality. I have skates on these for two months now and really like skating in them. It did not take long for them to break in. I have been wearing them indoors and outdoors several times per week with no issues. They glide well for a smooth ride. The weight is not too heavy. They have stood up to the test of newbie skating (and falling). They have features that pro-skaters suggest including metal trucks/plates and adjustable toe stop. I actually recently purchased a more expensive pair of a different brand to upgrade and these Roller Derby brand skates won out for me. I sold the other brand’s skates. I can see myself skating in these for sometime to come. ... show more

Good news first - These fit perfectly!!!! I’m early 40’s and use to skate around as a kid into teen years and boy were these fun to try!! Little scary at first but I managed to pick up and roll with leans and turns! They are great for starters which I use to wear boot style anyway! I love how its firm hold support on ankle especially since I’m flat feet and ankle rolls at times! These are supportive and have foam padding around so it doesn’t feel stiff inside! Wear thick socks! I ordered size 8 and was true to size! Laces are super long even double knotted! Check the lace description size for an idea and order something else to switch em into! Now the bad news….. the break stopper like other comments it falls off!!!! I secured it before skating because of the reviews and it felt secure but it did manage to fall off while the other one got loose. Be mindful of that and wear gear! Luckily no accidents but this is an issue for a beginner or someone who’s never skated! These were used on pavement for reference. I don’t think they would be safe in a rink until you try em out a few times and scuff up the wheels for better traction. May have to get a new break stopped and hope it stays! ... show more
