I waited a while to review this so that I could get plenty of use out of it first. I love this scooper. It does need assembling, but that's as simple as screwing the handle in. The actual parts you need are put together already. (The dust pan part) I have used this for almost 2 months and it has been very durable. I was concerned when buying plastic instead of metal, that it would not be durable. I am pleasantly surprised. It has been durable and even with the bigger messes it doesn't bend in. I also like that it can extend to fit my height. With many things the handles are way too short, but that's not an issue with these. I also like that when I am done and carry this, the poop isn't all exposed, but the top covers the opening. That is a really cool feature. This is so much better than picking poop up with poop bags. I was happy it came with the bags. I thought I'd need to buy some right away, but didn't. You can get a lot of bags for a decent price as well, since they don't need to be too big to fit this. I would prefer a solid black color, but this color is good and it is easy to find it when I store it in my garage.

Would work if you were picking up little dog poop. The bag does not stay in so when I start scooping the bag falls in. Not ideal buy I still use it to scoop and but in a larger can with a bag.

The media could not be loaded. Got this for our use at home to clean up. Considering this for the price factor and this is very good for pet needs. Overall functional & would highly recommend it for its price. My 2 cents below: Pros: - Very functional tool & a must for any home needs especially if you have pets - Good quality tool with a nice build - Durable build quality - Easy to use & handle as these are long enough with a swivel design - Easy to assembly as it comes in a few pieces only - Reasonably priced in the competition for the quality & functionality - They do bundle 40 waste bags in the package Cons: - None that I see for this price and the quality

Everything is made of plastic. It feels like it’ll break soon because it’s very flimsy. It might say it’s a large bin but really it isn’t. It’s normal size and due to its wide bin it feels like it doesn’t fit a whole lot inside. It’s also constantly off-balance so sometimes it’ll tip over and droppings will fall out. And due to its wide build, just about everything falls out. If it was taller that would be nice. I have another one that’s taller and the weight being further out keeps the bin closed. There are also the green bag holders on the sides of the bin that are supposed to keep the bags from falling off, but they don’t work well. They either fall out, tear the bag, pinch your finger, or just don’t grab the bag. I stopped using them as it’s annoying when they fall out. The tearing can be prevented with a quality, thicker bag though. Rake is also made of plastic, feels cheap, and doesn’t really rake too well inside tall grass. It’s more of a pusher than scooper. I feel like if I used it with even a little more strength, it’ll just break. Although it feels fragile, if your grass isn’t too tall (6+ inches) it’ll rake just fine. The bags that come with the product are very cheap. They work, but sometimes there’ll be a bag that’s already ripped or the bin will tear the bag upon removal. I recommend buying some from Walmart with the ties. All in all, it works. Not very well and sometimes annoyingly. But it’s better than using any other tool. If I had to buy another, I wouldn’t buy this one. I’d buy the first one I got.

Update: raising from 3 to 4 stars due to excellent customer service. I would lower the price on this because it is too fiddly. The lid doesn’t stay covered over the can and the bag holder inserts are always coming out when you use them. One plus, it does save me from bending down to pick up poop which is nice, just not sure the frustration that goes along with using it is worth it.

Haven’t used even a month and the rake is garbage. The saying… if it’s not broke don’t fix it.. should have stayed with the last brand and re-purchased. I moved so had to purchase a new scooper because I don’t know anyone who would pack and move a used scooper - not me! I fell for this new one and it was a huge disappointment. Once one tooth brakes on the rake they all follow. Also, don’t like the cover is finicky to keep closed unlike the last companies. This is a waste for me! Back to purchase (Hygena XL) last brand that held up years,!
