  • Works great!
Color: Navy
I wanted a smart watch that wasn’t as much a tiny phone on your wrist. Don’t get me wrong this watch has most of those features: notifications, call notifications, find my phone, timer, flashlight, mobile pay ect. But the interface isn’t as “integrated” as apple and I like it for this reason. I really enjoy the tracking and health features this watch offers and I like the navy color. I did change out my strap because I don’t personally like silicon. The edge of the watch face is from a screen protector I applied also. So far the battery life has been great and I’ve been more motivated to be more active because I like reaching goals and seeing my charts change. I also like the sleep tracker it is nice to see a snapshot of how you slept. There is also a nap option and brpm heart rate pulse ox you can track your water and calories ect. Also a gps! This watch as some crazy features packed in! ... show more

  • Incredible battery life, seamless functionality, endless versatility, and it's cute!
Color: Orchid
The battery life on this guy is just insane! I can wear this watch every day for at least 10 days before I even think of charging it. It's connected to my phone so it's receiving incoming texts/calls, sending me notifications quite a bit, and I have it on 24/7. I've owned it for over a month and charged it 3 times which includes the initial charge I did when I first got it. It did come pretty charged to be fair, I was just topping it off. I did quite a bit of research on smart watches when I started my fitness journey and everything pointed to Garmin as the company to go with. The features on the Vivoactive aren't quite as intense as some of the other Garmin watches, but I don't need to go spelunking with this thing. I just want it to track my cardio, tell me the time, count my steps, and tell me how I'm sleeping. It does all of that and more. The Garmin Connect app is also great, tons of motivation and tracking tools within the app. I got to hike the Great Wall of China last week! I was also able to download several different watch faces to customize the background how I want. Everyone says that this is waterproof, I haven't checked that. I think I'm scarred by past experiences with "waterproof" products, I'm sure this one is fine but I haven't personally tested that feature. So I do take it off to shower. I really love that you can select a specific exercise to track which helps your watch more accurately calculate how many calories you're burning. On top of all the great features I think it's a really pretty watch. Not too big, not too small, I would ABSOLUTELY buy this watch again. It's pricier than a Samsung or Apple watch but for the battery life alone it's worth it. So much functionality, I really am in love with this watch. ... show more

  • Perfect balance of most useful features!
Color: Black
I have enjoyed Garmin quality products in the past, so when looking for a new smartwatch, I compared Garmin's innovative features with other comparable models. This Garmin Vívoactive 5 was exactly what I needed at an affordable price. Some of the features I most appreciate are as follows: * Battery lasts for several days * Watch is sleek and stylish * I love that I can choose a watch face that is most conducive to my needs * The text and data are bright, colorful, and easy to read * Garmin has a great phone app to track my health and fitness data * I find the Sleep Score and Sleep Coach very helpful * The Body Battery, Stress, and Heart Rate monitors are beneficial * It is 'drag and drop' easy to customize * The Garmin quality and reliability is unmatched ... show more

  • Definitely worth it, lots of features to use.
Color: Navy
I decided to order a Garmin Vivoactive 5 when my Fitbit Versa expired on me in Nov.2024. It took a couple of weeks for it to arrive, mainly due to the holiday season, but it has been worth it. The battery life on it is much longer than what I previously had on Fitbit, and there are a lot of features available. It will take a while to familiarize yourself with so many features, but once you do they will be worth it. If you use it to monitor your workouts, as I do, there are many categories of workouts that it will evaluate, running, walking, strength workouts, biking, cardio, etc. You get great data on your sleep patterns, morning reports, weather updates, etc. What I enjoy is that when you download the Garmin app on your phone you can use your data from Garmin to enter into competitions with other Garmin members. Fitbit, once bought out by Google, began to eliminate a lot of the groups and competitions you could be involved in, so Garmin was a breath of fresh air in this. The band on the watch feels great and the watch looks stylish. I am sure that there are a ton more features out there that I have not even gotten to yet, but my impressions on a Garmin smartwatch is that they are definitely worth the money if you enjoy using a smartwatch daily. ... show more

  • I had a Garmin Vivoactive 3 for years. The Vivoactive 5 is worth the upgrade.
Color: Black
My Vivoactive 3 watch quit on me after several years. It wouldn't recharge but I later realized that I just needed to clean the part that connects to the recharging cable. Still, the battery wasn't holding a charge well and it was time for an updated Vivoactive 5. I like the features on the new watch. The Steps function is more accurate, I think. I'm really interested in the Body Battery function which wasn't on the Vivoactive 3. It is a kind of energy meter for your body, it seems accurate. As your energy goes down, the Body Battery number goes down, so it seemed to reflect my real-life energy level. Sleep score is another great feature. I found that I don't sleep well. That's a challenge for me to work on, very insightful to know this. The usual heart rate, stress and intensity minutes work well. This model has a Pulse Ox and Health Snapshot as well. It is slightly smaller than the Vivoactive 3 and lighter. I'm not that athletic (age 68) but I still feel that I'm getting a lot of good information from the watch. Lots of other features I haven't mentioned here. Definitely a good buy for me. ... show more
