Works perfectly. Remember if you are using your Rode Mic with an iPhone you will need to have this cable. Some of the mic's come with cables so let me break it down. The cables the mic's come with have 2 rings this cable has 3 rings. You want to plug the Gray head into the iPhone and the black one into the mic. Yes it will recored without using this cable and just using the cable the mic comes with but you might get a hum or a pop in your audio. Also heads up. If you are buying a Rode mic from here make sure its from a place you buyer you trust. Apparently there have been quite a few counterfeits. Just a heads up. Hope this review helps.     • Great quality product but a little bit expensive than other options.
Worth the money, though you can find a cheaper one that works as well with other cameras. Please keep in mind that this is only for camera devices, NOT for mobile devices. I am using Rode VideoMicro with this and it works really well, considering it was made by the same company, you’d expect it to work in the get-go and with high quality. I use the mic and the cable with Osmo pocket. And the sound is really great and very clear. Please remember to use the furry wind shield if you are using the mic outdoors, most specially in windy environments. I was a little worried that it wouldn’t work through the lightning port adapter that came with my iPhone 7, but it does. It came in a nice little box, and seams like a good quality product, which is exactly what I need for my Rode Videomic go. The reason for the two stars taken off, is that the one I got keeps on introduscong a popping sound into my audio! I tried it on my iPad as well and changes recording software, the sound is still there. I’m contacting the seller to see if I can get a replacement. ... show more

    • Genuine Rode SC7
Genuine rode SC7. Works to connect a Rode wireless GO mic to a PC or Laptop. I tested it on my HP Zbook laptop and my desktop computer using an Aorus motherboard. Works fine in both cases. I tried the knockoff connector (looks identical) first but the wiring was different so it wouldn't work.

    • Needed for iPhone connection
Ordered a wireless mic and assumed it would connect via bluetooth. Wrong. The included cord with the mic would only work from, for example, a DSLR Camera to the mic receiver. This cord is what you need from certain wireless mic receivers to the iPhone, for the app or phone to pick up the audio signal during recording.     • Swapped out Rode VideoMicro cable
I swapped out the TRS to TRS cable that came with my VideoMicro with the TRS to TRRS cable and there is a definite difference in sound quality. I was skeptical at first but it was more clear. I am using the combination of VideoMicro- TRS to TRRS cable and on a LG v20 cellphone video rig. Shot in HiFi sound, went back and forth using the standard mic that came with the phone, trs to trs, and the trs to trrs cables and using a ATH M50X headphone to listen to the difference. All three were excellent but The Rode VIdeoMicro with the SC7 was the best. ... show more

I bought a RODE microphone for my DSLR. It came with a cable to connect to the camera. But, I needed to buy a separate cable to work with my cell phone and table. This cable works perfectly when directly plugged into the device. I also have a Y splitter cable to connect earphones. The mic cable doesn't work when connected to a Y splitter cable. I wish it did.
