I convert 2x cranksets to 1x [10 Cranksets so far] & LEARNED the Hard way: -Steel RocRide bolts are KING! [Original Shimano bolts NEED that "flimsy" tool to hold the female half -- Royal Pain in the Arse!] Steel RocRide bolts? I'VE NOT NEEDED "FLIMSY" TOOL TO HOLD. I TORQUE MY BOLTS TO 17nm (per Shimano specs for Shimano cranksets). I always have 3 sets (5 per) in stock. NOTE: If have to remove RocRide Steel bolts, must use High-Quality drill bit. [Forget about "flimsy" tool to remove!] ... show more

these ar good solid chainring bolts made of steel, I dont ever recomend getting aluminum chain ring bolts unless you like to round out the nut, these are sturdy Ive removed them several times for cleaning and theyre like new still

Hey, so originally, I got these bolts and two of them snapped under normal use- I was tightening them to 9nm and bam. I was frustrated and disappointed and asked for a refund. No problem- they refunded my money and didn't make me send anything back which was definitely convenient. However, they went above and beyond by reaching out to me and sending me a new set free of charge! Great customer service- who knows, maybe the ones I originally got were a bad batch or some freak accident but I definitely appreciate them taking the time to make it right. They also mentioned that they're lowering the torque rating from 12nm. Would do business with these guys again for sure. ... show more
