🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The speakers being reviewed have garnered generally positive feedback for their sound quality and versatility, particularly considering their price point. Many users have found them suitable for solo and duo gigs or small to medium-sized venues. They benefit from a clean sound and a good range of input options, including Bluetooth. A few reviewers note some shortcomings regarding bass and the ability to support larger events.

Pros

  • 🎵 Good sound quality, particularly for the price
  • 🔌 Variety of inputs, including Bluetooth
  • 🏪 Suitable for solo or duo gigs, or small to medium venues
  • 🔋 Battery-powered and portable

Cons

  • 🔉 Bass output could be improved
  • 🔊 Not powerful enough for larger events
  • 🎤 Some issues with the microphone and reverb reported
  • 📈 There have been instances of distortion at higher volumes

Should I Buy It?

For smaller gigs or events, this speaker generally delivers solid, reliable performance for its price. However, if you're planning on using it for larger events or you require a particularly strong bass output, you might want to consider looking elsewhere. Overall, it offers good value for its cost but is not intended for professional usage or large venues.

  • It rocks
Is this the best? Simply no but it’s good for the price. Actually, it’s very, very good for the price. The sound is very clean. Highs are clear. Mids are authoritative and the lows are decent but indeed could use a little more ump, particularly the bottom end. Overall, this unit is very versatile, accepting various types of inputs and of course Bluetooth. Soundwise, it doesn’t disappoint and actually can be quite loud if the input level is turned up and the volume on the phone, tablet or computer is maxed out. In summary, this was a very good purchase! I’m quite content with it. ... show more

  • Buzz
I was at a BBQ competition and listened to this system an acquaintance had and it sounded amazing. I came home and ordered my own. It was delivered and immediately I opened the package and quickly connected my phone and hit play. The sound was buzzing at low volume and then again at a higher volume. No where near the quality that I had heard the previous week. I packed it up and sent it back. ... show more

  • Good but not for professional use!
Good design, looks great, easy set up even comes with a carry case. Unfortunately it’s an under performer. I prefer sound quality over loudness, there’s a limit on how much output should be expected from a battery operated speaker. Having said that, I was disappointed that the sub had to be cranked up all the way to maximum to hear acceptable low end, the microphone also had to be cranked up pretty high to get a good output but then the column would rattle. The reverb is more an echo chamber, even at the lowest setting it sounded more like a delay than reverb, not very useful. For the price, it will do ok for small events with a quiet crowd but you’re getting pretty much what you paid for. ... show more

  • Decent speaker for the price!
Used at several event so far. Yes the bass lacks a bit but overall this speaker has good sound. For those who left a bad review about sound output (volume) must be trying to use it as a dancefloor speaker. No it's not PA loud you get from a professional grade 10, 12 or 15 but I have used this at events with over 100 people and it is perfect for filler music (wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, kids bday party, backyard bbq etc). I will say compared against another budget line speaker like gemini pa300bt to-go it's sub par but for the price as a general use speaker it is a great option... and it's battery powered, easy to assemble, easy to carry & has a cool look & design. ... show more

  • A Versatile, Easy to Operate System for Small Venues!
The set-up for this system was intuitive, for anyone who has been around PA systems for a while, and I was STUNNED when I turned it on, and connected my Shure SM57 microphone! The system is whisper quite when turned on: with no 'white noise' like you hear with most PA systems, it reminded me of a Bose compact system, with slightly less fidelity. To get a good sound out of the microphone, turn the bass and treble knob to 10, and you will get clean power out of this system! I would recommend it for crowds under fifty people, in a medium-sized meeting room. Everything fits into the carrying case, and there are no additional pockets for microphones or cables. For gigs on the fly, this compact system represents a game-changer, when you factor in the battery powered option which will allow you to play at picnics! Very highly recommended! ... show more

  • Better than I thought
I recently bought 2 of these speaker systems to use for solo and duo gigs. I play keyboards and sing, have a duo with a guitar player/singer and also have a full 4 piece variety band that plays classic rock, R&B, country and soul. Our guitar player talked me into trying these with our full band at gigs at smaller to mid size venues and I finally agreed to. I used our normal FOH mixer, a 22 channel Mackie board and subbed each side of the mixer into the Rockville speakers placed on each side of the band. The first time I wasn't so please with the sound but the 2nd time I ran the EQ's on each Rockville straight up, flattened out the graphic EQ on the mixer and made minor adjustments from there. These speakers kicked! We were blown away. We'll still use the big system with 1000 watt powered mains and subs for larger venues but for small to medium size, indoor shows, we'll definitely stick with these. ... show more

  • Defective
Took a while for shipping. Ordered 2 one would turn on and would not function. No bluetooth. the other would turn on but would not charge. Sound was good. Connectivity was good, but would not charge. As these were refurbished you would have thought that these would be tested properly. I contacted seller and told them the issue and that I would like them replaced and said no issue doing that. Sent them back to them and even though they said they have replacements they did not and wanted to sell me a more expensive unit. Ended up having to get a refund. Bad Business to me ... show more
