Use for my motorcycle and Upgraded from Pyle marine 260w speakers and boy can you tell the difference in sound. I use a 1000w amp and I turned the amp down because it was so loud but still crystal clear. They are bigger than 6x9 non marine speakers but I figured that out when I bought the Pyle so you will have to cut if you don't already use marine speakers. I ordered these as my other boat speakers crumbled in the heat. These were much less than my other speakers but sound incredible. I put four 6x9's on my boat and ordered another pair as I liked the sound so much. My setup is 8 6x9's, 2/2000 watt amps and 2 10" subs. I had 2 speakers left from my original set that haven't cracked. The sound is amazing. I did have to cut the holes bigger as these were not the same size and my other speakers.     • Can't put too much volume or they will blow
Good price. 1st pair blew out went to Sturgis and they got wet. water resistance not good. Sound is great . Quality well I'm on my 2nd set hope they don't blow I just went through rain this weekend on a toy run

These speakers are not true marine speakers. The connection to the tweeter corroded in its early days along with the wire connectors. Very disappointed. Down to the screws that hold the cover are rusted Will not buy again for a marine application

    • Definitely wider than normal 6x9
As another reviewer stated, these require an enlarged hole to fit correctly. I used my zip tool to cut additional width for these to fit. Then I discovered that the little silver clips were not included and the screws were too short. After passing through the speaker bezel, only about 3/8" is remaining. Not enough to secure the speakers to my satisfaction. Got SS screws another 1/2" longer at my local Ace. I can't comment on durability yet. ... show more
