Rugged Nylon Exterior. Designed for ultimate protection We use 8mm dual layer high density foam padding & 3mm of softer lower density foam padding to create the ultimate. protection for your gear.
  • Front pocket has high density foam padding making it perfect for a laptop or other gear like mics, cables, etc. Enlarged strong YKK zippers (most competitors use small zippers that are not as reliable). Dual YKK zippers with holes so you can insert a lock (lock not included). When you close the zippers the bag has a clean look with a flap that covers most of the zipper track. Removable shoulder strap with soft cushion and adjustable length. Comfortable webbed handles with Velcro handle strap.

I needed a simple 16'' carry bag with outside pocket that was black so oil and dirt would be less visible to carry my jump pak 660 in the trunk of my unit. I needed to customize it to carry my jump pak and jumper cables to the scene on the side of the interstate or side of the road during vehicle rescues for dead vehicle batteries. This is nicely padded, it comes with a shoulder strap, and velcro handle. On the outside interior pocket, there are velcro securing straps for smaller equipment. There are good bottom rubber feet to protect it on asphalt surfaces. I believe it is water resistant, or repellent, I haven't had the opportunity to use it in adverse weather yet to find out. Bought the Rockville MB147 bag after reading reviews about how the XR18 DOESN'T fit in the recommended Gator Case (G-MIXERBAG-1306). Considering that the price for both the Gator and Rockville is $39.95 do yourself a favor and get the Rockville. It has the same features as the Gator but the main compartment is roomier and you can even store a bit more in it if needed. The outer pocket allows you to store more cables, ear buds and other accessories.
