If you want a Sunday to go from an easy project to a rescue mission here’s your product. I’ve done wrap in the past so the surface was prepped and the product was layed properly. I made a mistake on my trimming so I decided to just pull the piece and restart and all the adhesive detached from the wrap leaving a bumpy surface tar like adhesive. I’ve tried a heat gun, goo be gone, razor blade and seem to be doing more damage to my trim than the adhesive attempting to remove it. Still have not found a solution to remove it so we will see if my door panel trim can be saved. Spend the extra money and get a repositional film and save the headache! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This carbon fiber pattern is gorgeous. My very first wrap, and I attempted wrapping my hood, alone. I did a ‘dry’ install, and learned that spraying the hood and underside of wrap with a solution ( like window tint) would have given me better results and added some ease in the installation. If I had a helper, prepped hood further, and used a solution to apply wrap, this project would have been brilliant! I’m going to re-order the same 5x6 foot length and go at it again! This time armed with what I’ve learned from this first attempt. I’ve yet to see any other wraps to compare this to, very impressed with this colour pattern, packaging and price in comparison to others. This is a great price for a great looking wrap. I’m debating on going with a lighter, almost silver coloured carbon fibre if they offer it. Loads of people thought it was a carbon hood until they spotted my creases up close . . I actually ripped the wrap in a spot and had to patch the 2 ft. X 2 ft. area with excess wrap and it damn near looks seamless! Advice: Clean underside of hood, clay bay areas to be wrapped first, use solution to ‘wet apply where applicable and use a heat gun with a helper to stretch the corners and edges. Get a felt tip- wrap squeegee! Don’t panic when it feels you’ve failed lol Good luck! ... show more

The protective cap is not able to stretch. The material is thick which makes for an intermediate install level but should offer good durability. As far as UV resistance, I'll have to wait for client reports. This film reacts to heat very well (stretching, reforming, not melting/blowing holes) Adhesion is similar to vvivid which is also not a beginner material. Air release is very good, but as with all vinyl, do not rely on it. This product dies not seem to have much heat/sun healing of micro scratches but lubricated squeegee application should protect against any imperfections from install. I would recommend dry install only. Overall, if you're experienced this will be a piece of cake. I do not recommend this product for beginners. Overall rating 7/10 and that is just because it is not beginner friendly on larger panels. ... show more
