This is my second pair that I ordered. I usually wear a 10 extra wide in my work boots from Rock Rooster so I ordered the same size for these hiking boots. The toe box is a little more narrow on the hiking boots so I sent them back and reordered a size 10.5 extra wide. Perfect fit! These hiking boots are so comfortable. I have some foot challenges and when I wear these hiking boots they all but disappear. These boots are more comfortable then any of my sneakers and have become my go to shoes. I leave them a bit loose when I take them off and when I put them on my feet slide right into them. Lacing up is easy. A quick pull on the laces tighten them all the way to the bottom then a crisscross on the speed laces and tie them. Often times with boots there’s a lot of tugging and pulling on the laces to get them tightened up. I’ve been a Rock Rooster customer and fan for about 3 years now. Their quality is always high and their comfort level is unsurpassed. I live in Arizona and now that we’re having cooler temperatures I’m looking forward to some desert hikes. I’m confident these boots will fill the bill perfectly. Lastly, I need to mention that they are very lightweight! Buy and enjoy!!!

I am glad I purchased 1/2 size larger than I usually order. The boots are comfortable and seem to be well made for this price range. I could give a more accurate report of their performance after I have been out in the woods with them.

I bought these for my son, he loved them and said they were really comfortable and kept his feet cool, but after two months of wearing them to work they are literally falling apart. I’ve reach out to ROCKROOSTER through their website because they say the warranty for a year…we shall see but I wish I had gone with better quality. Two months of wear is nothing. EDIT: the company quickly attended to my needs to replace the defective boots and covered it in their warranty. Thankful for their promptness and hoping these next ones hold up as my son really did love the boots.

I took these ROCKROOSTER Bedrock boots for a hike off-trail. I drug 'em through hollers' and hills, briars and sharp rocks in a boulder -filled Kentucky creek. I tried out their waterproof function by standing in the creek with water covering the top of the toe section. No leaks,(except when I stepped in a 12 inch deep water hole with these 6 inch boots! Duhh!). The vibram sole was very "grippy" and kept my feet stable , and my ankles were well supported. The insole in ROCKROOSTER boots,(I have two pair), gives you what I call good step recoil and help make the boots extremely comfortable, and my feet did not overheat. When this 68 year old man returned from this vigorous hike my feet and lower legs were not as fatigued as when I wear my Army boots. I like 'em! Be aware that these are URBAN trail boots when I say that the briars and sharp rocks left the softer midsole kinda' chewed up. These boots are not designed for my hillbilly abuse, but they did not fail in any respect. I wear a 10 , and a 10 1/2 was comfortable. I would describe this particular style as a boot with an athletic shoe top and midsole , with a gravel gripper Vibram trail sole. By the way, the strings are plenty long. Thanks folks. Rick T., Ky.

So I bought these for a recent trip to Iceland. During the trip I wore the boot while hiking through rocks and snow and during a rain storm that lasted days. Initially I was going to give these boots a 5 star rating. They fit great, we’re comfortable and warm. They also seemed to be waterproof. But during the rain storm the boots began to leak through the seems on the right and left toe! Needless to say, my feet got soaked and then super cold. I bought these because Salomon boots run small and these ran big. Since I need a 14.5 shoe these are perfect. Would recommend for dry hikes!
