The bag is incredibly lightweight and maneuvers nicely on 4 wheels. It's a good size for a carry-on and if you aren't abusive, it's a good buy. It's a great carry-on bag. Personally, I would not check this one. Most of the issues I saw in the photos that were shared resulted from the rough treatment of bags during loading or unloading, or from cargo shifting during landing or take-off. (in these cases, folks ought to be upset with the airline and not the bag manufacturer, or just chalk it up to what sometimes happens when you travel.) I get compliments on my carryon everywhere I go and I haven’t seen anyone else with this carryon whenever I travel. And even if I did it doesn’t matter because I tagged mine for even easier spotting. I’ve flown United, American, and JetBlue with no issues with it. It’s gotten some scuffs but that’s expected when it gets checked. I was skeptical buying luggage from Amazon, especially in this price range seeing reviews of people's luggage cracking after one use. I've only taken this on one trip so far, but I had to check it in due to space on the plane. I was so worried that it wouldn't last, but it made it back with no issues whatsoever. I bought this with the expectation of its max height being 22 inches or less to work as carry-on. It is more like 22.5 inches at least so I’m hoping we can still use it for carry-on. I purchased a big bag like this red one a few years ago and this little one matches it perfectly. I can extend it for more room it cam with a lock which is handy. I haven't traveled with it yet but I'm so excited to do so.
