- Classic the People's Car: The people's car has been a hit in countries all over the world, and although the original intention of developing it varies, the most important thing is that it is small, convenient and multifunctional. In 2023, RocHobby launched the latest 1/12 rc crawler for players based on the world-famous the peoples car. Both the appearance and performance of this classic vehicle are perfectly replicated.
- A Perfect Replica: from the lighting effects throughout the car, to the spring-loaded door locks, to the soft seats and the perfect replica of the dashboard. RocHobby strives to restore every detail of the classic car of the people car, with a spare tire and battery compartment under the hood and a replica engine in the hatch. To bring every player a perfect replica of the rc crawler car model.
- Chassis with Refined Design: The ground clearance is 310mm, and the stamped central ridge tube chassis is fixed to the body to form a solid load-bearing chassis with high torsional resistance, and the central drive shaft and electrical wiring are hidden in the ridge tube. The front and rear wheels are independent suspensions with torsion bar springs, which have long travel and take up little space, and we use torsion springs instead of torsion bar springs to present the front and rear suspensions on the rc model, which is more convenient for dismantling and tuning.
- More Fun: The tires are newly developed road tires and barrel wheels are common, open the hood and you can take out and use the spare tire. The doors can of course be opened, the soft seats can be adapted to the 1/12 Figure, and the steering wheel linked steering. In the model we set the plastic roof can be removed, after removal can also be easily placed in the rear Figure.
- 4-Channel and 2.4GhzFor the electronic system, RocHobby uses a 4-channel digital proportional remote control system. In addition to controlling the steering and throttle, the third channel controls the gearshift and the fourth channel is responsible for switching between four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. There is also an integrated light control that allows the headlights to be turned on during normal night driving, and the taillights are accompanied by a brake linkage effect.

The door handles actually unlatch the doors. The remote has 3 selections for speed. Position 1 is low speed (crawling). Position 3 is a bit faster. Channel 4 turns on low beams, high beams and anti aircraft lamp. Press and hold channel 4 and the car goes from 4WD to RWD. The car comes with the siren and front bumper loose without installation instructions. All you have to do is remove the front 2 screws from the under carriage then you can slip the siren in then the bumper. Then tighten the screws and you are all set. Not sure what channel 3 position 2 is supposed to do. I hear a solenoid shift but my car stands still. If it it wasn’t for this, this car would be a 5 star.

I really love the accurate details put into the car like the functional door handles, soft seats and tires and correct dash for the split window. My only issue would be with the speed. While realistically these were far from fast cars, it would be nice if this model was a little faster.

I have a few RocHobby cars and this one is just as impressive as the others. If someone told me this was a static model, I would be impressed but to know that this is also radio controlled is flat out unread. The cars fit and finish is great, details are well executed and numerous, the driveline is incredibly well made, performance is scale and the electronics outstanding. The car should be looked at more like a motorized model versus a radio controlled car due to speed (slightly more than walking at full pelt), suspension clearance and open, limited slip diffs but if you are into scaler RC cars, this is right in line with those. If you think about how a 45 hp VW beetle would run and then scale it down, that is what you have with this little gem.

This car is built from the original blueprints, just scaled-down. Selectable high and low transmission ranges. Doors open with the door handle and latch closed. True reproduction of the suspension components down to the gear reduction boxes on the rear drive train. Basically looks like they shrank the real thing down to get this model

The car looks fantastic. Excellent detail. But unfortunately, at this point I cannot get the car to go in reverse. I'm trying to figure out if it's just me. Pull the trigger one way for forward, and go the other way for reverse, correct? I'm going to look online for some reviews and videos to see if I'm doing something wrong.
