This is my first paddle board ever. My boyfriend has one (different brand) that I tried and I fell in love with paddleboarding on the waters of Florida Gulf. So I went to get my own paddle board and wanted one that was a little shorter than his 11 feet, and I found this ROC brand. It's a little shorter and a little narrower, and awesome colors too. The price is great for this quality product. It is easy to carry in the little backpack it comes with and very easy to blow up with the pump that comes with it (about 6 minutes). I also like that it has a double paddle in case you want to sit on the board and use it like a kayak. A little waterproof baggie comes with it as well. I did not dare to bring my iPhone on the water with me (yet) though :) This was my first ever paddleboarding experience (I am 58 and somehow athletic, or so I thought) and I was surprised at how difficult it was to stand on it, especially on the wavy ocean. There was a lot of falling off at first, but the water was 89F / 32 C so it was very pleasant. Lots of laughing as well. In about half an hour I got it down and was able to stand somehow gracefully and paddle across the waters. So then I thought I had to try if I could do a headstand on it and even in the waves, I managed. Later I learned that yoga boards are totally different than these paddleboards, but at least here is proof that one can do even yoga on the ROC paddleboard. I am extremely pleased and this is going to be a spectacular summer on the waters of west Florida.

This board arrived 2 days after ordering. Inflated it and let sit. didn't lose any air for the 4 hours it was inflated. Included pump worked well and PSI gage worked well. Took all of 5 -8 minutes to inflate to 14PSI. Took it to the lake and paddled on the water for about 2 hours without issue. Took the family and everyone had a go on it. Everyone was able to stand and paddle the first day. The board seems very stable once you get the feel for it. We were happy with the weight limit on the board. We were able to get two people on the board (300ish lbs) without any issue. Board was still stable and above water. It comes with a paddle. It is probably the biggest con of the whole setup. It still worked as intended, but upgrading to a carbon fiber one should probably be on your radar. Everything fits easily in the provided bag. It also has backup straps so you can easily carry it to your destination. For the price, I think that the board is very good for someone who wants to try paddle boarding, who wants to see if it is something they will enjoy before they spend a lot of money on one. The upside is that if you do enjoy it and want to spend more, you have an extra paddle board for anyone else you know who wants to go.

I recently purchased two ROC paddle boards for myself and my wife, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. These boards are incredibly light, making them easy to carry to and from the water. Despite their lightweight design, they feel exceptionally rugged. They’ve been rubbing up against, rocks a sticks with no sign of damage. One of the best features is how easily they fold up, simplifying storage and transportation. Inflating the boards manually does require some effort, but it’s very doable and actually faster than using an electric pump. I found these board to be really stable and easy to balance on, even with wakes from boats and other swells. I even managed a headstand twice. Overall, I think these boards are a really cool buy and I would definitely recommend them as fantastic, easy fun! The boards come with all necessary accessories, including hand pump, paddle board paddle which can be converted to a kayak paddle, a dry bag, and more. They also have easy storages both front and back for backpacks/coolers/life jackets…. I was actually a bit surprised how much I was able to fit on the board the first time!

The most brilliant aspect of inflatable SUPs is that it opens up lake and water life to an entirely different market. As a Honda Civic owner with not many storage options at my home, I've not been able to enjoy many water hobbies. Didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for things like jet skis and storing at the marina. But also didn't necessarily want to have to go buy a kayak or canoe and have to figure out how to rig by myself on my compact car and store at home. SUPs are a game changer and this ROC one is incredible! I couldn't believe how much they give you for the price (bag, kayak accessories, paddles, pump, etc) This was my first time owning an inflatable SUP and they really have made it as easy as possible. Also, like others have said, their customer service is top-notch. There was an issue inflating my SUP and someone responded to me within minutes (on a Saturday) via their online chat. Quick note: seems like others might have this issue, but the little rubber o-ring may have issues sitting completely flush over the valve which does not allow for a tight connection while pumping. Use the extra o-ring they've provided! Thank goodness I didn't throw it away. Already went out on the water once and am very happy with my purchase!
