Ordered this unit as an open box item from Amazon warehouse to try to save some money. The unit I received was well used with lots of scratches and scuffs, but it worked well, and i just wanted it for mixing sauces so nothing heavy duty and figured it would get scratched up anyway. After a few weeks it completely froze up and stopped working so I had to return it. Next time I'll save up a bit more for a new unit, for now I'll keep scraping by with a smaller vitamix handheld and mixing smaller batches. I'm 50/50 on trying this again since it's supposed to be a commercial grade unit, I'm just not sure how much better a new one will be vs the used one that I tried. The power when it works is amazing and the length of arm is great for big pots, I'm hoping I just got unlucky with the open box unit. ... show more

Broke, after a little more than a year. Replacing broke parts costs the same as a new blender. This is supposed to be an industrial equipment. But it is not.
