After doing a portion together, he was able to follow the directions and do a good portion of it by himself with me just checking over what he did. The instructions are really well done with pictures! My son has always wanted to build a robot so he was really excited to do this project! It took us a total of several hours over the course of a week or so. We worked on it in small increments. The remote worked well and controlled the robot fine. I didn't download the app to try it.     • End result was fine but instructions not so
It’s similar to Lego but not as precise. Few bags were numbered so we ended up opening them all. Finding the pieces was not easy as the pictures were quite small. The instructions were okay, but not alway obvious. We ended up doing fine and enjoyed the end result.

Great price for a pretty cool toy. These types of toys are generally way more expensive, so this is a bargain. I bought 2 and each was missing a different piece, which was a bummer.
