    • Should have bought one sooner, NO SAE RIVETS but still great tool
If this rivet nut tool was any easier to use it would drive them in by itself. The DIRECTIONS...DIRECTIONS (yeah I'm impressed too) are easily explained and notes that the 8M mandrel is already inserted into the tool by default AND a sticker inside the box states that too!!! In the directions it has a table for the thickness of material for the length of rivet deformation. In the manual it does state that there is no SAE rivets but that's okay because I bought the 915pc set when I ordered this. If you can read or just look at pictures you'll be able to use this tool. I have used many of the rivets in the past few days and it works great. ... show more

I've only used this once after struggling with another one that would not securely mount the rivnuts. After a few wasted rivnuts I decided to purchase this kit. Great little kit with a good variety of sizes.

Worked well until the 10-24 die broke in the rivnut. Will need to try and drill out.

The tool is strong enough do any inserts I need. I use it in restoration work on older cars & trucks using mostly the larger sizes.

I don't normally write reviews except when something really deserves it, and this Rivet Nut tool is definitely deserving of it. I was in a pinch during a massive install on my wife's Jeep Wrangler, where the provided rivnut tool broke during use. I could not finish the project without getting the rest of those placed and being around Christmas, most things wouldn't arrive for another week or so. Amazon got me this thing overnight, and the ease and simplicity of getting it setup for use on my project took maybe 10 minutes to include unboxing and reading the depth chart provided. I was able to finish what I was doing 10x faster with this tool rather than the cheapo ones these Offroad companies provide with their stuff.
