For me I can't call this a dress. Yes, it covers the butt however it doesn't go much farther down than that. It is soft and comfy though. Not extremely thick but not thin either. Wearing with leggings and socks on a cold night is perfect with this sweater. There is decent stretch on the fabric. This is true to size to maybe a little big but I like big as I like my clothes to have a loose feel when wearing them. If you like the snug feel definitely go down a size. It didn't have any smell when I opened the bag but I did let it sit out for a while before wearing since it arrived in an air tight bag.

This sweater is the SOFTEST and most comfortable thing I've ever worn. It's described as a sweater dress, but depending on your body size, it may be a bit too short. On me, it came down to my upper thigh, but it worked perfectly with a pair of leggings. It's a fairly thick sweater and has a decent weight to it. I wore it in Canada in about 30-degree weather, and it kept me very warm. Most plus-size sweaters I find are poor quality or fit like a burlap sack, but this one is truly amazing. It's soft and comfortable AND flattering to wear. I'm definitely getting this in more colors.

Just arrived today and I tried it on. Super soft, super cute! Purchased to wear for family pictures next month. I ordered a 3x and normally wear 2-3x. It is long like a short dress, roomy and perfect with leggings. Hopefully I remember to update with photo after we do our portraits. I was hesitant to buy because I normally only trust Torrid sizes without trying on but so glad I took a chance on this! It is exactly what I was looking for.

First off the picture is a little bit deceiving the length is not that long. More than likely they did what most retailers do and put a much larger size on a model and and clipped it in the back to give the illusion of length and fullness. That being said this is still a nice sweater. It's soft the knit is dense but still lightweight. It's stretchy but doesn't stretch out it retains it's shape. The color is as shown. The ivory color is a good winter white piece and will pair nicely with darker rich colors, pastels and metallics. It fits true to size but on the fuller body it couldn't be worn as pictured like a mini sweater dress. Outside of the picture it's still a nice sweater. I will be wearing it a lot.

Wow! This sweater did not disappoint! It’s soooo soft. It’s the perfect length! The color is as shown. I have only washed and worn once and so far it has held its shape. I washed and dried according to the tag and it’s still perfect! For reference I’m 5’4” 230.
