  • Very nice
I love it very nice

  • cool moving lights, nice rechargeable battery, and good performance in wired or 2 wireless modes
I'm not a hardcore gamer, so my gaming tests might not be able to check something intense that a gaming customer wants, but for me, this was delivering on everything I wanted it to do, and I'm even using the keyboard in Bluetooth 5.0 mode to type this review. The keyboard can work in three modes: wired with a cable that is USB-C on the keyboard side and USB-A male on the computer side, wireless with Bluetooth 5.0, and wireless with a 2.4 GHz connection to a USB-A dongle that's in a built-in slot in the bottom of the keyboard. I tried all three of them and they were all working. In 2.4 GHz mode, it seemed to miss keys occasionally in my game when I was sitting next to the computer, but it was getting about 95% of the keys, and it's getting all of them in wired and Bluetooth modes. For the wireless modes, the range is good and I go out in the hallway, and the keyboard behaves the same as if I'm next to the computer. Compared to a standard keyboard, the number of keys seems the same except for 10 keys at the top, but they try to add more choices with Function and Option. The anti-ghosting appears to work, although I don't do a ton of keys at the same time in my gaming so my tests are pretty light. The keyboard has one switch at the back for whether you want to use Windows or Mac keys, and another for your connection with three options: OFF (which you'd use for wired), 2.4G, and BT. The Bluetooth pairing works fine, although I wasn't using the BT1, BT2, and BT3 keys. I was holding FN and E or FN and Q until the M light started blinking. It's a little confusing because the keyboard was showing up in the device list as Unknown Device, but after I connected it, it switched to BT5.0 Keyboard. It's worth noting that there are no alkaline-type batteries in this keyboard. As far as I can tell, it has some sort of internal lithium battery that charges by USB when you have it in wired mode. I can see the battery status on my computer when I'm in Bluetooth mode, and based on that the battery life seems good. I really like the appearance of the keyboard. Sometimes colorful items can look really tacky but these colors have a sort of soft feel. There's also a key that looks like a lightbulb and an M that toggles the light mode so you can turn it off, switch it to something like red only, or even switch it to patterns that look like the light is moving. As a reminder, there is no mouse, but sometimes that's nice because if either the keyboard or mouse goes down, it doesn't affect the other. ... show more

  • Great features for the price point
This is a "mechanical feeling" keyboard, not a mechanical keyboard, so it's still a membrane behind it. If you're looking for that satisfying actuation or clicky sound, you're not going to find it here, but you will find a robust set of features that aren't usually on keyboards at this price point. First, on-the-fly macro recording is great, especially for repetitive activities in video games (like in Heroes 3 hitting "defend" 7 times a turn) or even on spreadsheets where you have to cut, move, pate, transform, etc. The only annoying thing is there is no software to record the macros so if you forget what they are, that's it - you have to just re-record over them. Also, I like the anti-ghosting and no-roll over, which to the layman means if you're moving forward (W), while sliding (shift) and reloading (R) and enabling the flashlight (T), while opening your inventory (I) you can do all of these keystrokes at once without them eating one another (most keyboards can only take 3 key inputs at once). This is really cool and makes gaming on it a much smoother experience. I also like that a lot of the keys on the left side have little lips for your fingers so they don't slip during more intense, or sweaty gaming sessions. While the font on the keyboard looks nice as well, I'm not a fan of the RGB too much. Don't get me wrong the color is nice and bright, but it bleeds through the gaps in the keys more than the keys themselves, making it harder to make out the letters at a glance in the dark. It's still pretty, but sort of defeats the whole purpose. ... show more

  • Gaming Style of a Budget
This keyboard is a steal for the price. Now I will say, I work from home and use a mechanical (cherry red) $200 keyboard daily. With that in mind the keys witches feel very "membrane-esk" with the typical mush that comes with that. However the lighting, connectivity, and build quality is incredible for the price! I wish things like this had been available 17 years ago when I started building custom computers because this price, for this quality is impressive and a perfect starter keyboard for a gamer/pc user on a budget. ... show more

  • It's Very Pretty
Brightness: The keyboard lights up beautifully. Keyboard functionality: The downside is that the keys need to be pressed really hard or nothing happens. The spacebar is the worst you need to hit it really hard at least 3x times to get a space.

  • RisoPhy Wireless Gaming Keyboard
This keyboard is shockingly good for the price. You get Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired options, which is rare in this range. The keys are semi-mechanical (mem-mech) with a solid feel and satisfying bounce, and anti-ghosting on 26 keys means fewer missed combos in fast-paced games. The RGB lighting is bright and customizable with patterns or static colors. Great ergonomics too—it has a subtle incline and raised keys for long typing sessions. Works with PCs, Macs, tablets, and even phones. Not a pro-level gaming deck, but a killer midrange board. ... show more

  • Bright lights, not much else — even at a low price, it underdelivers.
This keyboard looks decent at first glance, but once you start using it, the flaws stack up fast. It’s a cheap membrane board, and it really feels like one — mushy keypresses and not much feedback, which makes it hard to enjoy for gaming or even typing. The RGB backlighting is bright, but also very uneven, which just makes it look kind of messy in a dark room. Battery life is another letdown — it drains surprisingly fast, even with the lights turned down. The tri-mode connectivity is nice in theory, but it doesn’t make up for the overall quality. Between the mediocre performance and short battery life, it’s just not worth it — even for the budget price. Better to save up a little more for something that feels and performs like a proper keyboard. You can get full-fledged hot-swap mechanical keyboards for less than this. Not worth. ... show more
