I had zero expectations for this foundation, I bought it as backup in case my makeup from Sephora wasn’t a match. Well Sephora didn’t show up until the week after my wedding, this was the only foundation that came on time and I’m so glad it did!! I’m super pale, super pink, and had an outdoor ceremony in July. I wanted something that wouldn’t cause flashback or melt off my face and this was amazing. So amazing in fact that I went and returned the $60 worth of Sephora makeup that came late in favor of this stuff. I used it with bare minerals prime time (which is interchangeable with smashbox primer or the Monistat chafing gel dupe) and applied it with a tightly packed foundation brush and forgot my dang setting powder but it held all day and night anyway (11am-midnight!) It’s really pigmented so a little went a long way, it was a tad lighter than my skin tone which worked great once I was contoured and blushed, the only thing I will say is I was blessed with no major pimples on the day of so I can’t testify to it’s acne covering abilities. I wish I got this in my shade. I love mousse foundation but the shade that fit me was more expensive. Why? I have no clue they’re all the same so… weird. I got this one which was lighter but it worked. Little goes a LONG way… that’s for sure. So it’ll def last you a while. Longevity wise. Value for money is real good. My only issue is the shade. I'm pleasantly surprised. This is the first time I've used this foundation and I was looking for something that would give me light coverage, stay matte all day long, and stay on all day. This did all of these things. I did still need to use some concealer in a few areas, so it's not a one-and-done product, but it is a great easy to use, slap it on and get out the door foundation. I won't use this when I need more coverage, but for running to the grocery store or when I just want to look slightly less disheveled, this is a great pick. It's not too thick and not too thin. The fair color matched my skin tone well - which is usually hard to do, either it's white-as-white can be, or the fair is 3 shades too dark. Easy to apply. Lasts all day. Doesn't wipe off easily or melt off skin. If you get oily, it still stays on. Good coverage and solid cover up without the thick glop needed by most. Goes on sheer. Doesn't feel like you have a lot of product on. You don't need a lot of product to get the job done. It dries almost instantly. Can't complain. Doesn't leave fine lines looking caked or like you spackled your face in. Gives porcelain finish. Easy to apply other make-up onto it, such as blush and eye shadow or liner.
