Typed on this keyboard
As someone who spends an unreasonable amount of time around keyboards. I like this keyboard. I know my switches, I know my layouts, and I have absolutely judged a keyboard by how satisfying it sounds when I type on it. 😅 So when I say this little keyboard impressed me, I mean it. First off, the size is fantastic for portability. It is small enough to easily toss into my go-to travel setup without feeling like I am hauling around another piece of office furniture. Despite its compact size, it is genuinely nice to type on. The switches have a great tactile feel and give each keypress a satisfying little thock of feedback. And yes, it looks good too. Do I actually need to look at my keyboard very often? Nope. Does that stop me from appreciating a good-looking keyboard sitting there anyway? Absolutely not. 😂 The build quality is another big win. It feels sturdy and well made, which is especially important for something designed to travel. The included strap is a surprisingly handy touch—you can use it to carry the keyboard around or hook it onto a bag so it is easy to grab when you need it, but easily removed if you want. Setup is basically the definition of plug-and-play. Plug it in and you are ready to rock. My experience was it worked perfectly with a simple USB connection. No drama, no fiddling with settings, no sacrificing a small offering to the tech gods. I also did not notice any latency while typing, and despite the smaller form factor, it still feels comfortable and responsive. Obviously, a compact keyboard is always going to involve some compromises, but for something designed to be portable, I think it strikes a really nice balance. Overall, this is a great little portable keyboard. I like having a dedicated “go bag” of portable devices and peripherals, and this keyboard has officially earned itself a spot in it. It does what I need, does it well, and doesn’t make me jump through hoops to get it working. And honestly, as a tech guy, that might be my favorite feature of all: it just works. ... show more

Compact, Comfortable to Type On, and Easy to Keep Around as a Wired Backup
I normally use wireless keyboards, but I still like having a wired keyboard available when I need one. I also do not want something taking up a lot of desk or storage space, which is what originally attracted me to this compact mechanical keyboard. I have been using it pretty regularly now and have been happy with it. It has worked with both my Macs and Windows PCs without any problems, and setup is basically just connecting the USB cable and using it. The 60% layout is very compact, so you give up the number pad and some dedicated keys found on a full-size keyboard, but that is also what makes it so easy to store and use on a smaller desk. The photos give a good sense of how little space it takes up compared with a conventional keyboard. I also like the feel of the mechanical keys. They have the clicky response you would expect from blue-style switches, and I find them comfortable for typing. They are definitely not quiet, though, so this would not be my first choice if you share a workspace with someone who dislikes keyboard noise. The RGB backlighting works well and gives you quite a few different effects along with brightness and speed adjustments. I am not someone who spends much time changing keyboard lighting, but the effects look good and are easy enough to control. Another feature I like is the removable USB-C cable. It makes the keyboard easier to pack away or move between computers, and the fold-out feet underneath give you some control over the typing angle. Build quality is good for a budget keyboard. It does not have the weight or especially solid feel of some more expensive mechanical keyboards I own, but nothing about it feels poorly assembled. At the cost at the time of my review, I think the value is fair to good. There are other compact mechanical keyboards available for less, including some I own that are reasonably comparable, so I would not call this an exceptional bargain. At the same time, it has worked reliably, feels good to type on, and gives you a lot of features for a fairly modest amount. I am giving it four stars. It is compact, comfortable, reliable so far, and has become one of the wired keyboards I actually reach for regularly. Pros: Very compact 60% layout Good mechanical key feel Works with both my Macs and PCs Detachable USB-C cable and adjustable backlighting Cons: Clicky switches may be too loud for shared spaces Construction is decent but not especially heavy-duty Comparable keyboards can sometimes be found for less ... show more

Decent but not for me
So I have A LOT of keyboards and I am a bit of an enthusiast, so take this review with a grain of salt. I am genuinely always excited to try another keyboard, but unfortunately this one was a bit of a let down. I'll start with the good- the board itself is made entirely of plastic, but the plastic is thick enough that there is no bend or twist to it when you hold it in the hand so it feels decently built. I also had no issues with the functionality of the board itself and the RGB is very nice and is able to be customized. The legends on the keys are uniform, and there is no weird variance in thickness. The stabilizers arent bad, but they are quite underlubed (easily fixable). Now for the bad - the key caps are thin and cheap compared to others on the market in the same price range. The switches feel completely unlubed and rattle like crazy which is my biggest complaint because that paired with the thin key caps destroys and sort of decent sound quality that this board could have. I think with a decent bit of modding, this could be a passable board. However, in its stock form it leaves a lot toche desired. All that being said, I think the general user that is just looking for a simple keyboard that works won't be disappointed by this item but I just think that for the price point, there are some other options on the market that offer a bit more. ... show more

Great compact keyboard!
I love this compact keyboard. I don't game a whole lot, but I do like to use a separate keyboard when working on my laptop. The compact size fits better in my laptop bag than the normal keyboards, which actually don't fit at all. I like the feel of the keys as I type. They are smooth and provide, nice feedback when making keystrokes. The keyboard is backlit, so it's much easier to use in darker environments, especially since I'm not the greatest typist, and often catch myself looking at the keyboard when I type. Most keys work as expected when typing, but because this is a compact keyboard, you won't have the separate number pad section, arrow keys as well as the others you usually find on the right side of the keyboard, like Insert and Delete. They are still on this keyboard, but you have to different key combinations. For example, to get a backtick (in white text under ESC), you hold down the Fn key, then the ESC key. To get a tilda, hold down the Fn key and Shift key, then the ESC key. I am still trying to figure out how to use the arrow keys, but that will come with time. This keyboard should outlast me. It advertises 50 million keystrokes. I am quite pleased with this keyboard. I am using it right now to write this review, and look forward to many more years of use. ... show more

EXTREMELY good value for money, super high quality, compact, and amazing design, no Bluetooth
Rating: 4.75/5 I'm not sure why people are rating this keyboard low, because it is packed with tons of amazing features that Ive never seen before for $30. It should be worth more, which says a lot about its value for money. First of all, it is designed beautifully, very compact as the keys are placed in such a way as to reduce length, it includes a (very high quality) strap for your hand, which I found cool and interesting, has a kickstand, which seems high quality and durable as well, and is a literal mechanical keyboard that feels premium overall and especially while typing which is very comfortable albeit a bit loud, I love the color scheme of the keys as well. The LED backlight is also a neat plus which adds significant to its value. The only thing I dislike about this keyboard is that it is wired only; I think they should've included the option for Bluetooth connectivity, because my desktop is further away from my desk. Overall, the value for money is so astounding that I'm baffled by the other low-rating reviews. I think this is a steal and so exquisitely made that it's nearly perfect, except for the lack of Bluetooth connectivity. ... show more

compact, solid keyboard
I got this for my 8 year old who plays Fortnite, Minecraft, etc., and is obsessed with mechanical switches. His previous keyboard was the membrane type, and when I gave him this his eyes lit up and he was super excited! Here's his review: "The keyboard is good i like the rgb its good and nice quality i just wish it had more rgb i meen like more colors like red orange yellow green and basically rainbow." I used the keyboard for a bit to update his PC. The size is nice, especially if you're putting it in a backpack and transporting it. The downside of this size is that the arrow keys are hard to use. That's not an issue with this keyboard specifically, just an issue with the form factor. I'm not sure there's much use for the hand strap, and I'd probably take it off it were mine. I like the switches. They feel solid and quiet compared to other mechanical switches. The single-color backlight doesn't bother me, and it's easy to read the keys. For the price, it's a great option! ... show more

Great Portable Mechanical Keyboard
I am a tech guy. I work as a software engineer and I am a big gamer. So I appreciate a good keyboard and understand different keyboards have different uses. This keyboard is the perfect size for on the go. The switches are great and give a nice tactile feedback on every press. Even though I do not really have a reason to look at my keyboard very often as I can type without looking, I still appreciate that it looks great. It feels well made and sturdy, which is extra important for a keyboard made to be on the go. The strap is handy to carry it around or hook it up to a bag for easy portability. It is super easy to use, just plug it in and you are ready to rock. In my photo it is hooked into a dock that is hooked into my Asus Rog Ally Z1 Extreme. Still just worked with a simple USB connection. It does not appear to introduce any latency in my typing and for the size, it feels nice to type on. Overall it is a great portable keyboard. I like to have a go set of portable devices and peripherals and this is going to be going into that. It just works as I need and expect it. To me that is the most important feature. ... show more

Simple keyboard, solidly built
This keyboard is a competently average keyboard. It is a deliberately simple design, with one purpose and method of achieving that. It is wired, with no battery/wireless capability, and no manner to be able to switch operating OS (alter modifier keys). That's fine. Mac users know what they need to do in order to use a Windows keyboard. As is, this keyboard will accomplish your keyboard needs. But this price point ($30), is a little on the high range, I feel, for a "just-enough-to-do-the-job" utility/backup keyboard. It has servicable red linear keys and a 60% compact layout, and yet IS NOT hot swappable. Luckily, I use a desoldering station at my work, and was able to change my switches. I prefer tactile switches and had a supply of Gateron Jelly Banana switches (side note - highly recommend, Amazon 110 for $25), so I installed them. When I was disassembling the board I noted that the plate is painted metal, probably steel (was magnetic), making a nicely stiff plate, and uses snap-in stabilizers. It has no sound dampening to speak of, so I cut a patch of EVA foam for the bottom. Now I have a more suitable-for-me keyboard, but nothing to write home about. The keycaps are shine-thru with north-facing LEDs which makes for good low-light visibility. All in all, it is a solidly built, compact, (and from what I saw in disassembly) and durable keyboard. Average in most respects. It just needs more "value" - hot-swappable switches, wireless, alternate OS's, something. For now, it will be on the shelf for emergencies. ... show more
