I use this to regulate and dry the air for my laser engraver. Works great. I've yet to notice any moisture in the 2nd chamber, but I'm glad I purchased a dual chamber as there's plenty of moisture that gets trapped in the first chamber.

Doesnt work well. 2 minutes of spraying and get water in lines. Tank drained daily before use. Still get water coming out of hose. Buy a better one.

I absolutely love this separator.. The construction is solid with quality materials .. It does weigh a bit too! There was no Teflon tape included with mine but it was not a problem for me as I always use "Blue monster" tape instead (Just want to mention that the two adapters came precoated with sealant so maybe that's the reason they did not include tape with mine). I purchased this separator in an effort to separate particles and moisture from the compressed air to spray paint a car. I did not have a chance to use it for that purpose yet but I did use it quite extensively to work on my car and it really does a great job at trapping moisture! I could not believe how much moisture came out of my compressor. In conclusion this device is really performing well so far and I definitely would recommend it .. my only complaint would be that the bowls are a bit tricky to remove for cleaning. You can let the moisture escape from the bowls by pressing on the bottom valves but I do like to keep my equipment clean. The procedure to remove the bowls is pretty straightforward (press the release lever and twist) .. it should be an easy task but for some reason both bowls on mine are binding a little.. not a deal breaker but a little bit annoying for me. ... show more

I ordered the 1/2" version of this regulator set. It is compact and nicely engineered. The set consists of two cartridge style filters, a regulator module, mounting flange and a pressure gauge. The set comes with Teflon tape and two push connectors, suitable for hard plastic air tubing. The two filter chambers have twist valves on the bottom to allow draining any moisture without having to detach the chamber from the unit. The gauge comes detached, it is easily attached by screwing it into the port below the regulator adjustment knob. The regulator knob functions as you would expect, allowing you to set a consistent output pressure. I used this in my shop to provide additional filtration and pressure regulation for spray equipment. I had no issues with moisture getting through this setup. However, my shop air is fed from a large compressor in a shed 60 feet away, as such, it is fairly dry. Still, it is nice to have this added protection, as a single drop of water can ruin an otherwise perfect finish. I have several other industrial grade regulator/filter setups, one on the compressor, one where the compressed air enters the shop and one on the back of my plasma cutter - this filter setup, so far, seems as good as any of the other regulators I have, some of which cost considerably more. The 1/2" version allows for a large volume of air, perfect for full shop filtration or any area that requires regulated high air flow with good filtration. What's not to like? Pressure regulator, dual 5 micron filters, water catches with drains, pressure gauge... Comes with 1/2" shark bite (?) adapters. Even has a roll of Teflon tape. Gotta have something to help remove water and filter from your compressor. And this is a nicer one than I've used on my smaller compressors. I had a really expensive one on my big compressor but that's all stored away so this was nice to be able to add to my small 10 gallon. Looks to be modular or maybe you can add to this to increase filtering capabilities. I'm not looking into that at the moment but something I noticed from the nice construction. ... show more

This is a good dryer system and it does a good job of taking moisture out of the system. Installation is easy and straightforward. Just be sure to seal all connections properly or they will leak as the tolerances are not as good as high end units.

The Air Dryer seems to work well but it will be some time before I know all about how it works. The unit comes well packed - see picture - completely assembled except for the pressure gauge. I ran into a problem when I installed the pressure gauge. No matter how much teflon tape I put around the threads of the pressure gauge, it leaked air around the threads. To even get close to stopping the leak, I had to screw the gauge all the way in, which put the pressure gauge upside down. To finally fix the air leak, I used pipe dope and screwed the pressure gauge all the way in (and upside down). I can live with the gauge like that, but it would be easier to read if it was right side up. Adjusting the regulator was easy and it appears to hold the pressure well. All-in-all, it does what it is supposed to do and I'm satisfied. ... show more
