Features

  • Thread SizeThe air drying system has two 3/4" NPT ports and one Gauge Port 1/4" NPT.Pressure RangeThe pressure range is easily adjustable within 0-240 PSI.
  • Stage 1 Regulator/FilterThe adjusting knob can precisely control the air pressure within the range of 0-240 psi. The knob will be locked when pressed to ensure safety during use. Equipped with a 5-micron element, it can filter out up to 95% of particles and moisture in the air.
  • Stage 2 Coalescing FilterThe coalescing filter is equipped with a 0.01-micron element that can remove 99.98% of moisture and impurities from the air line. A red indicator on the top window will pop out when the filter element needs to be replaced.
  • Stage 3&4 Desiccant Air DryerThe air will pass through a metal bowl filled with desiccant, which can thoroughly dry and clean the moisture and impurities in the air, and finally output to downstream pneumatic tools. When the desiccant needs to be replaced, the beads will change from blue to pink.

I got this after trying some different, smaller inline water separators that attach via the air hose. I found the smaller ones cannot effectively stop water from getting into my air tools. I use a large portable air compressor and this drying system is probably overkill but i plan on mounting it to the compressor handles and running the lines so that I can still use the multiple compressor air line connectors on the machine. So far I have everything to mount the air dryer but just haven't found the time to get it installed. This review is therefore only based off my initial impressions of the air dryer and not based off how well it actually works. I will update this review with more pics and details once its mounted and I have a chance to use it. So right off the bat, the positives are that this looks well built for the most part. It is heavy and solidly constructed. It comes with everything needed to install short of the mounting bolts. I like that it comes with extra filters and drying beads. With that said I did find a casting defect in the center filter housing. If you look at my pics you can see in the sight glass that there is material from the housing partially obstructing the sight glass on the inside. It isn't really that big of a deal and I will likely remove the sight glass and chisel or grind it out but I would expect better for the price. Lastly I do have concerns with the way the filter housings are held into the main body. They simple push up into the main unit and are then turned a quarter of a turn. There is no catch or anything to keep them from turning back out and they turn very easily. I am hoping they will be secure once there is air pressure behind them. If not, simply getting your hose caught on the sight glass or bumping into one of the housings could cause it to twist off and turn into a missile.     • Defective NPT Fittings
Size: 3/4" NPT/Automatic Drainage Style: 4 Stage(3Filter+1Dryer)
I was looking forward to using this regulator however the 3/4NPT air fittings are manufactured incorrectly and do not create a seal regardless of how much Teflon tape is used. Even with the fitting hex bottomed out on the regulator housing it still leaks, it cannot be tightened more. Basically it's not even usable without replacing the fittings so we're off to a bad start. I have been a loyal customer of Tailonz brand pneumatic equipment for several years now, and I can confidently say that every single piece I have purchased has been of excellent quality. From their pneumatic actuators to their three-stage air drying systems, Tailonz delivers!! One thing that particularly impressed me is the longevity of the dust can included with these systems. It lasts a long time, saving you the hassle of frequent replacements. Additionally, the PTFE thread tape provided is of high quality and works effectively. One standout feature is the accuracy of the regulators. I had the opportunity to measure them with a NIST calibrated Nordson gauge, and they performed exceptionally well. This level of accuracy is remarkable and adds to the reliability of the product. Even the fittings included with the equipment are of decent quality. What sets these products apart is their affordability. At just one-tenth of the price of American-made regulators, you can get the same level of performance. This makes it a lot more affordable to outfit your home shop with top-notch pneumatic equipment. Lastly, I would like to mention the great customer service I received from Tailonz when I needed to replace a solenoid a few years ago. They were very responsive and addressed my needs promptly.     • Coalescing filter indicator cracked
Size: 1/2" NPT/Automatic Drainage Style: 3 Stage
I only have about 20 hours on this filter and the red/green indicator (on the coalescing filter) made of acrylic just cracked and leaks air now. Will try to find replacement but am not counting on it. very Disappointed. only running 90 PSI.

I use this to supply air to my larger CNC router. it allows me to ensure that it has reliable shop air that's clean and dry. I have this mounted to my CNC so I have a single hose going to it and allow it to blow air for my Laser or Router, plus I have an extra fitting for a supplimental air hose to clean off the whole bed when it's done. ... show more

We’re using this air dryer on a 26 gallon compressor for operation of a small canning machine at our brewery. Using dry air is an absolute must for operating the pneumatic valves on a piece of machinery like this and so far, this does the trick for protecting our investment. It is heavy so not something you would want to lug around with a portable compressor but in a shop setting this would greatly help prolong the life of your tools. ... show more
