I bought this to replace an older identical unit that started to leak I liked the easy to open valve. Side note, its not a ball valve but a poppet valve that needs air pressure to fully close. Unfortunately, the valve design leaves 3/8" of water in the bottom of the bowl. I ended up taking the bowl off my old one and using that.

This is an OK filter for teh so press or I run in my garage. If feels a little plastic-y, but it seems to do the trick of maintaining the dialed-in pressure while removing water and contaminants from the airstream. I had not issues installing it, and so far it is working fine. WIll update the review should I have issues down the road,

If you've got moisture in your air system, you really don't want that - even if you've got one of these fancy aluminum tanks that won't "rust". You still don't want to get water in the tools or if you're spraying in the spray. This filter and regulator will help you by getting the water out into the drain bowl. It is best suited for use near the tool end where the regulator will also let you drop down higher pressure from your compressor allowing you to run multiple tools at the right pressure. The only complaint is is dial is not easy to read because the pressure markings are divided into fractional PSI.

Redone the fittings from the kit twice with proper Teflon tape and clean parts they still leak. The gauge body leaks itself and took me a while to realize. Never had so much trouble sealing up pipe threads before. Couldn't really test the filtering function before I decided to return it. The defective gauge was the last straw for me to look for a better kit.

My husband had been trying to figure out a way to better regulate the old compressor and help eliminate moisture. This kit has everything we needed to fix both issues! Easy to hook up. Everything we needed was in the kit. Work very well and we have had no issues.

Since I ordered this it looks like there have been a slew of additional products added to the Nanpu lineup. It also appears the import air regulator/filter price landscape took a big leap in cost. Not too long ago I paid about half this for a slightly smaller version to use with a airbrush setup. Anyhoo, from where I sit, a lot of things seem overpriced nowadays. But maybe I’m one of the few who has more time than money and views pricing from that perspective. Nicely made and produced regulator and filter. Strictly manual emptying of the water collector. No color changing desiccant beads in this unit, but a 5 micron brass filter will help keep crud flaking off a poorly maintained compressor from making it through to mess up air tools or plasma cutters. It’s been hella humid in these parts and this pulled a fair bit of water out of the air during its first use the other day. It was mounted directly next to my compressor’s regulator, and before 50’ of hose that went into the small filter on the back of my plasma cutter. The cutter worked just fine, aside from rookie operator error :-). It’s not a super duper engineered cutter (read Expensive) that can compensate for small amounts of water in the incoming air, so I figured doubly filtered air would help. This seems to help, and should save money by reducing how quickly the cutter consumables get used up.

I measured the pressure and it's relatively close. Throughout the range, it's within 10% (I don't have pictures of the testing, sorry). This is very acceptable in my world. Otherwise, this is a pretty standard regulator and drain combo. Price is OK. Of course, empty the bowl regularly and your stuff will last longer.
