Pros- This is a great easy to install case, the MagSafe magnets seem way stronger than Apples own cases and it has held up extremely well in my work as an aircraft mechanic with no staining or scratches I have noticed. It is also very slim compared to other cases I have used. Cons- The case is very slippery, it is a hard plastic shell on the back that is extremely durable- and therefore slippery. On my last phone (iPhone 16 Pro) I had the same case but in leather, that seemed to have much better grip. The leather obviously wears more and can stain, but that’s kind of the point of leather to wear as it ages. So I would recommend both cases depending on your needs. ... show more

I’ve tried quite a few phone cases over the years, and the Ridge iPhone 17 case immediately stood out for its build quality. It feels solid without being overly bulky, and the materials give it a really premium feel in the hand. The MagSafe connection is strong, which was important for me since I use a MagSafe charger and car mount daily. Everything lines up perfectly and snaps into place without sliding around. The buttons are also surprisingly nice—metal buttons with a very tactile click that feels more precise than the rubber buttons most cases use.  Protection seems well thought out too. The raised edges around the screen and camera help keep the phone from contacting surfaces when set down, and the case has solid drop protection while still keeping a clean, minimal look.  Things I like most: • Strong MagSafe connection for chargers and mounts • Premium materials and solid build quality • Responsive aluminum buttons with good tactile feedback • Raised edges to protect the camera and screen • Good grip without feeling sticky or rubbery One small note: it’s a little thicker than ultra-thin minimalist cases, but that’s probably why it feels more protective and sturdy. Overall, this feels like a high-quality everyday case that balances protection, clean design, and MagSafe compatibility really well. Really impressed with the Ridge case for my iPhone 16 Pro. It’s slim, fits perfectly, and feels super premium without adding bulk. Buttons and cutouts are spot on, and it offers solid protection. Has a dedicated camera button...not just a cutout like some higher end cases do. Only downside — I wish it was just a little grippier. The smooth finish looks great but could use a bit more texture. I've been a longtime Ridge fan and use their wallet every day, so picking up the Ridge iPhone 16 Pro Max case was a no-brainer. It has lived up to every expectation. The build quality is exactly what you'd expect from Ridge. It feels solid and premium in the hand without adding unnecessary bulk. My phone still feels sleek and pocketable, which is saying something for a Pro Max. The MagSafe compatibility works flawlessly. Ever since I got the iPhone 17 Pro in the orange color, I wanted a green case as I think the color combination looks pretty good. I've been searching for something cheaper as I take really good care of my phones and just needed something basic for scratch protection. However, though this case was more expensive, it's very much worth it. The magnets for the MagSafe charging are much stronger than any case I've used before, including the official Apple cases. The camera control button works very well, and is in fact a bit more sensitive than I would like. I actually prefer a recessed cutout so I don't accidentally touch it. The case itself is very slick to the touch, so it won't get stuck in pockets or clothing like silicone does, however if you have sweaty/wet hands it could be a risk with it being so slippery. The material seems very durable, and it doesn't add much bulk to the phone. It does feature lips on both the camera module and the screen, so there's no risk of damage when placing it on flat surfaces. Like most other cases, it's simple to install just by shoving one side in and then pressing the rest of it on. All in all a great value, especially if you love using MagSafe! ... show more

    • Main gripe is the lack of grip
I’ve seen rave reviews about this case. It’s easy to put on it. It protects the phone adequately and it feels sturdy. It’s handled several drops from my hand. There is one huge gripe with this case though- the lack of grip. This phone HAS protected my phone from drops, but it falls because the lack of grip. It just becomes slick from your natural hand oils. Even when cleaned and right out of the box the lack of grip is apparent. It even slid out of my pants pocket several times. The look is good. But I just can’t recommend the case. It protects your phone, but it causes the drops. Literally creating a problem for itself to solve. The colors are great, but don’t believe the hype. 3 stars for protecting the phone, 2 stars off for making me drop it. ... show more
