I was a bit skeptical when I first got the package and saw how light and small it was, but was pleasantly surprised at how far it went! I make my own mix of substrate for my Ball Python terrarium that includes sphagnum moss, and this did the trick wonderfully! Highly recommended!

This stuff is just nasty and nowhere near 10 quarts. I know it says it has no added dies or colors but there are two distinctly different colors of moss in here - natural looking stuff and this fake looking dark green stuff that doesn't seem to absorb water at all - one of the main reasons anyone would use sphagnum. On top of that, it's filthy. There are tons of sticks and leaves and other garbage mixed in, and the whole thing just stinks like old fish. I would never put this with any of my animals. Maybe as a soil amendment but definitely not with any critters. ... show more

I found that I like the bright green reptile moss for my plants. It adds a vibrant touch to the way they look. This moss is so green, that even though they say it isn't dyed, I don't know how that is possible. It works well in my moss poles, and the plants are happy.

You get 7 ounces of Spagnum moss. This is a great bedding. This is all natural. You can use this for turtles, snakes, geckos, frogs, leopard lizards, and so much more. We are using it with our turtle tank. This is all natural moss. It is sun-dried forest moss. It’s completely safe and organic. When you’re done using it, simply put it outside in your compost pile. This is ideal for hibernation and hatching of critters. It expands rapidly when you immerse in water and it will become fluffy and soft.
