This is a great case and looks great! The top of the case, when open is not as secure. When open, the top can easily come off. I solved this problem by adding a piece of double stick tape. I’ve had the MagSafe version for about a week. I’m able to charge wirelessly and with MagSafe, and the construction seems solid. There are one-star reviews that complain of the lid cover falling off their AirPods, but I haven’t experienced that, so far. There is a particular one-star review where the user complains the case was broken on arrival (says the lid wasn’t attached) and has accompanying videos/photos. Honestly, she’s incorrect: Nothing broken about her case. The lid cover isn’t supposed to be attached to the body of the case. In the way this was designed, it relies on the AirPods’ hinge for opening and closing. If the body and lid were connected with a hinge, you couldn’t put the protector on your AirPods case because the hinge would only allow you to put the body on the AirPods’ lid into the protector; a hinge would prevent the two pieces of the case from being far enough apart.
