I am a newbie to cake baking, but my first try got rave reviews. With these tools I was able to fill and ice a 4-layer chocolate cake, decorate it with a nice border and add a written message. "Happy" and "75". I found the turntable to be invaluable in icing the cake. I did not use the leveler because I wanted my cake to be slightly rounded on the top. I used 3 different tips. I did not use the small plastic spreaders. I used the two longer spatulas to smooth the icing between layers and on the outer surface. I would have given it a 5, but I found the open end of the bag difficult to fill with buttercream icing with a spatula. I ended up getting icing all over my hands and the outside of the bag. I was wishing the open end of the bag was a bit larger so I could use a pint pub glass to hold it while I filled it with icing. This is probably a newbie error.

I love baking and decided I finally wanted to invest in some simple, not overpriced baking equipment. So happy I did! Piping tips and bag worked great! And the scrapers and frosting wands (not sure the technical term for them) worked great! The turn table spun easily without a catch. It is just basic plastic, so not super heavy duty. But as long as you don’t plan on banging it around it should hold up fine. Loved it! Made frosting this red velvet cake a breeze! No missing parts that I could tell. Great buy!

I really like all the tips that were included, but what was great was the little booklet that shows the design that each tip produces. So you know exactly what it will do. Big plus , they have online classes that are free and help you learn how to get the end results you want.

I just received this cake kit and let me tell you, it's perfect if you're starting your cake decoration journey. It has everything you need. And why I specify for beginners? The tips are not great quality, I've used Ateco and Wilton and will stick to those brands. As the price point, I think it's unbeatable. The only thing is that I bought this last week and now that I came back to leave a review I just notice the price went down $4 dlls, since I bought 8 kits, that's $32. I would like to know If there's any chance I could get like a price rebait.
