Here is the skinny on small notebooks. I have the Mead brand and this Rettacy. The Mead has a good reputation but the pages are made of paper that is so thin and flimsy that they curl up, making it impossible to write on. These people have decided to make a notebook that is unusable JUNK I guess to save money. In addition, my rollerball pen skips on it. I had to just discarded it. This Rettacy has excellent paper weight and the pages lay flat. My pen writes perfectly on it. So I highly recommend this one and strongly advise against the Mead brand.

First of all, I did buy this specific one because of the price point (very good) AND because it had a hard cover. The cover is not remotely hard, it is a flexible piece of plastic. Regardless, I've kept it and used it and it seems sturdy enough. The paper is decently thick and well lined. If you're not looking for a true hardcover spiral bound notebook, then this would be a good choice.

Very handy size for a simple, elegant journal. Bright, heavy weight paper stock works great with pen or pencil. Each page is lined with a date line at the top right. Everything you need to manage the neatly spiral bound book including bookmark ribbons, a plastic divider and category tabs. A built-in retention band holds it all together. Love it.

Exactly what I was looking for in a notebook for my A5 binder :) Fits just right! The poly cover is nice and the ring binding makes it really easy to open. I even like the date line at the top of each page - at first I was deterred from buying it bc of these date lines as I like just having lines on the page, but now that I'm using it I actually find the date line to be really helpful :)

I buy these ALL THE TIME and love them very much....in every color they come in. I cannot recommend them enough to folks and I do it all the time. I work remotely from home as an accountant and I use these for each client, sometimes with each project. So, I have a lot of these floating around my desk in all of the colors. I love them so much, I buy them as gifts and also use them for journaling, not just for work. The quality of the paper is fantastic! I am picky about the thickness of paper and these are perfect! I love all of the colors these come in. Just be aware that the lighter colors are see-through. Perfect size for note taking. Also, the tabs that come with these are of high quality, too, and make them perfect for keeping organized. I love them and plan to buy several more. Please do not stop selling these. It will be tough finding a replacement.
