I paddleboard in a small lake. I like to "park" my paddleboard and layout and get some sun. This anchor is perfect to keep me from drifting.

This is good, lightweight anchor for kayaking. It is probably best for keeping you from drifting in calm lake waters, as it weighs in at only 3.5 lbs. This set is decently made although it really isn’t premium. The rope is better than some I have seen with similar sets but it isn’t super thick. The float works fine. It is a compact system, and fits into a small bag, making it very convenient. I am tucking this into my kayaking gear so I can have the option of hanging out in my kayak without drifting all over my local lake while trying to birdwatch or otherwise take a break. ... show more

Purchased this to anchor our paddle boards in sand at beach. We also tie off to a rock or drift branch if we can find any. If you paddle board in tidal water you need this. Anchor is compact and comes with a nice bag I can bungee to my board. Box shows instructions. There’s a moveable ring that secures anchor in open position and also in folded lock position. I like the long rope it comes with. Anchor digs in pretty good in both wet sand and dry sand. Dragging it does not appear to alter how deep it digs into the sand. Offers good holding power since it's only a paddleboard pulling on it. ... show more

It is a nice anchor and has a nice long nylon type cord, I would use this for a fishing boat or small boat nothing huge. As a back up or for fishing this is perfect, you can even use it as a weapon when the zombies come, multi use this thing is

Heavy duty anchor for the kayak that is easy to install and put it back in the bag. Has a decent amount of rope and extra floaty. A very solid clip and the anchor is very heavy duty.

I love that this anchor is small and easy to pack in my little kayak, yet is heavy enough to do the job of keeping me put. As advertised, it's for small, lightweight, crafts, but if it can handle my plastic kayak, it should work great for a raft or pale board as well.
