Omg y’all…have you ever wondered what it would feel like to sleep in a cloud? Well, look no further. This comforter is simply AMAZING. It’s so incredibly soft. And not soft like a fluffy puppy. Soft as in…imagine silk meets a parachute. It’s light weight but still heavy enough to drape around you. It really isn’t hot at all. I’m usually a pretty hot sleeper so this thing has been wonderful. Actually, it’s almost too cold in the winter. I actually find myself using my sheets for once! 10/10 would recommend. Definitely worth the price! I actually went back and bought the sheets to match.

we switched from the Buffy to this comforter after 4 years with Buffy and so happy we did. My husband is a hot sleeper and I am not and we are both extremely comfortable with this- even in the winter. It seems thin when you first open it, but trust me it keeps you warm and cool at the same time. The big draw for us was also the fact that this is machine washable ! We have washed this a few times already and the quality is still great. Highly recommend.

Pros: It truly is cool to the touch, soft and comfortable, appears to be good quality fabric and workmanship, attractive color. Cons: Can't go in the dryer, didn't solve our severe night sweats, price (!!). My husband sleeps HOT. It has become a real issue where he wakes up seriously soaked several times every night, his whole side of the bed soaked, and we're washing our sheets every day. We got a new mattress pad and that has helped somewhat, but not enough. We are now looking for how to setup our bedding situation so that we can manage the laundry and sleep dry. We slept under this comforter for two nights. It is lightweight, but provides enough weight that you still feel that serotonin-producing sense of protection that helps you sleep deeply. However, both nights both of us were sweaty--not AS sweaty as with our regular blankets but not just slightly damp around the collar--the sheets were damp enough on my husband's side that I pulled and washed them. I don't sweat like he does, and most nights I don't sweat at all so it was telling that I was sweating too. We think the reason is because we still used our 100% cotton top sheet between the blanket and our bodies. We suspect that we would have slept cooler had we only used this comforter and no top sheet--nothing between us and the comforter. But here's the rub; our body oils and sweat would be deposited directly onto comforter, creating the need to wash it really frequently. It cannot go in the dryer! I understand why, but it's a king size comforter so washing and hanging it frequently would take more time and space than we have to give. In the winter time it would be impossible. We have a retractable cloths line rigged up in the garage and that's great when the temps are 55 to 95, but doesn't serve us in winter months. We are looking to solve a really specific problem and this just didn't do for us. Given the significant cost, I'm sending it back today. If you are looking for something of good quality craftsmanship that will help you sleep comfortably and cooler, this might be the right thing for you. I was impressed with how cool it felt against my skin when we first opened and tried it out. If you're a seriously hot sleeper like my husband, it probably won't. Last night we slept under just our 100% cotton sateen 400 thread count top sheet and my husband barely sweat at all--totally acceptable solution for him but he's concerned for me. I used a throw blanket on top of the top sheet because I was a bit cold. This may be what we do from here on. The issue with this is the throw blanket doesn't stay on me because it's small and not anchored to the bed by being spread across two people with some side overhang to keep it in place. So I would wake up chilly with just the sheet over me, and the dog would be snuggling my blanket at the foot of the bed. Also, I like the feeling of a little weight on me when I sleep--not a heavy "weighted" blanket, but just that innate sense of well-being that comes from going to sleep feeling enveloped by a quality blanket. So we were dry but I didn't sleep well, and we are still working on the solution.

I'm sleeping better with this and that says a lot. I'm probably one of the worst sleepers around. I don't have sleep apnea just very difficult for me to get to sleep and if I get uncomfortable I'm not sleeping. My biggest problem has been getting too warm, I have always been like a furnace when I sleep. Most of the year I can barely use a blanket even though having one helps me sleep. Now that I have this blanket I can use it even on the warm nights. I used to wake up soaked if I got too warm at night. Hasn't happened once with this. It breathes well enough. Got it over the summer and it's still comfortable on fall nights. I'll see if I have to grab something warmer when I cools off more but so far this looks like it is good as a 3 season blanket (at least) for hot sleepers. Side note: one of my cats just loves this blanket. He kneads on it like he has never been so at ease. He doesn't do this on anything else. So far the blanket isn't showing any wear from the cat kneading so it's durability is good. This blanket is pretty pricey but if you can swing it, worth every penny.

I sleep hot and during the summer months I find myself miserable and uncomfortable. However, since purchasing this blanket, I have been able to sleep much better (less getting up because of being too hot). There are times it feels like it gets a bit warm, but I just simply have to flip the blanket to the other side and I am able to cool back down. It has been life changing and so helpful in getting better sleep.

I am obsessed with this blanket! As someone who runs hot while I’m sleeping, this blanket is life changing. I’ve had “cooling” blankets in the past and they cannot compare to this one. The fabric itself is super soft and comfortable. It retains body heat so it is nice and warm but all you have to do is shift it and you’re cooled off again. 10 out of 10, I recommend it! 100% worth the price.
