I must have, every household should have at least one of them. I keep one in my workshop also one in a trauma bag and have one in the ATV. Hopefully we will never need to use them. Excellent quality.

Hands down, this is the best tourniquet on the market and the G7 version fixed the only prior weakness by beefing up the windlass rod. Changing the windlass strap from bright white to a subdued grey was also a good idea. The "single routing buckle" makes application method standard regardless of arm vs leg, or self vs buddy aid. I'm personally indifferent on that feature, but I'm sure it will help those who go "single track" during a crisis and lose the ability to think out a problem. I've never had that problem, which is probably why I've succeeded in emergency medicine for the last 26 years (Paramedic). However, there is a medical study that was published in 2013 that found the single routing to be 7 seconds faster than the double routing with no difference in their ability to keep the strap secure. So simplification backed up by science is always a good thing. The addition of the case was also nice. It's a good case with a single MOLLE mounting strap. It won't work on a belt (unless it is no more than 1-inch wide for horizontal mounting), but it's good for attaching to MOLLE gear, such as on the outside of a trauma pack. Even without mounting the pouch to your gear, it is a great way to keep the tourniquet together when it is stored inside of a bag. If you're looking for genuine C-A-T tourniquets, this one from the seller "Rescue Essentials" is the real thing the right NSN printed on the strap. Beware of cheap imitations out there! If you see a "combat tourniquet" being sold for less than $20, it is probably not a genuine C-A-T Tourniquet from North American Rescue.

I'm a Police Officer and I bought this item for my duty belt. We recently switched to web gear so it became easier to carry while on duty. The CAT is as advertised. The holster leaves a little to be desired. Kind of a generic model that took some modification (black plastic zip ties) to hold it into position. Once I got it locked in place it is working well. For a $10 holster I guess I am happy. It is serving a purpose and is on my belt where I want it. This holster may not be the best option but it's better than not carrying a CAT while on patrol. I recommend this product.

I carry one in my car, one in my range bag, and one at home. Fantastic build and I have no doubt it would be able to perform well in case of an emergency. Will trust my life with this product if the time ever arises. Hopefully it will just sit and do nothing but I’m glad I have it!
