  • Smooth actuation means a lot
Style: 1 mL - Luer Lock Unit Count: 100.0
I have about 200 animals that I have to care for, so lots of wormer, etc., and because we breed and finish our own, I have to deal with lots of different sizes and doses. That means it's ultimately easier to keep my "automatics" and repeaters in the box and just use singles. I used to use slip types for years, but the locking type make retrieval a lot simpler and safer if somebody gets a little too frisky or jumps up and runs away. My problem was that being a creature of habit, I only bought what my old supplier had, and they never offered a 1cc lock type syringe, so I just kept using the 1cc slips and got the locking types in 3 mil and up. Comparing the action of these to the Monoject and private label generics that I had been using is night and day. At first I thought they weren't sealing properly, 'cuz the draw down was so smooth and effortless, but that wasn't the case at all, they just have a very low amount of friction. At equilibrium, with a loaded syringe left standing on the bottle, no leakage whatsoever. Now I will say that for me and my big paws, the locking portion of the syringe does make it a bit more fiddly for me to get a hold and decouple it from my fill needle (the one ya leave in the bottle so you're not poking a new hole in the seal for every shot) but it's worth it for the surety of not having to sweat pushing a viscous fluid through a small gauge needle and having it blow off. I try to stay with the absolute smallest gauge needle possible to get the job done, especially with the youngins, so these allow me to do that without any worry or mess, and I'm sure the critters appreciate me punching smaller holes in them. Lastly, some of my customers are pretty rambunctious, so you've gotta act decisively to get'er done, and there have been times where that situation has led to small volume syringe plungers getting sticky, binding up and just folding over, and that's no fun, having to go back and try to stick 'em again. Another thing is that these really do give you much better feel and control over how smooth your delivery is. Just about every injectable has a specific feed rate that you should aim for, but when you're dealing with sticky or uneven pressure syringes you're usually just happy to get it in and done. So these are basically making it easier for me to be gentler with my animals, and that's always a win. Actually, I was so happy with their performance (and that 2 day Prime delivery) that I almost didn't realize that they're also less expensive, so other than somebody offering a longer hub needle for me to more easily get my big fat fingers on it, these have been about as close to.perfect as it gets. I'll be ordering the larger sizes now to see if they show as well as these, but so far, I've been tickled with these. ... show more

  • Cheap and works well enough
Style: 1 mL - Luer Lock Unit Count: 100.0
I don't really use Amazon anymore as much as possible and I feel weird writing an actual human-written review that isn't SEO hacking, but sure, why not. Like a bunch of other reviewers, I am a trans guy using these for testosterone injections. For that purpose, they are perfectly acceptable. Buying them here is cheaper and more convenient than filling a tiny prescription, and you'll most likely get something very close or identical to what you were prescribed. (Possibly better, if you're like me and your local pharmacy kept giving you 3ml syringes because they're out of 1ml.) The plunger is in fact a little 'sticky', and it's annoying. However, I haven't had it be a problem while the needle is actually in my thigh, which is the important part, so whatever. Added bonus: the syringe is narrow enough that it'll fit through the neck of a 2L soda bottle, which is handy if the last remaining pharmacy in your area stopped carrying sharps containers. ... show more

  • Much better than paying pharmacy prices.
Style: 1 mL - Luer Lock Unit Count: 100.0
These are a great value and seem to be good quality. I use them for T shots weekly and haven't had any issues with them. The luer lock is fantastic and super easy to twist on and off to change needles, and the plunger goes all the way to the tip making sure every bit of medicine gets used. I haven't had any leaking issues. ... show more

  • Happy with the product
Style: 1 mL - Luer Lock Unit Count: 100.0
Since the 3mL were no longer offered in the luer lock option, I ordered these 1mLs. I honestly like them better as they are smaller around, and they draw what I need quickly and easily. Plus, it's easier to swap the different gauge needles out.

  • Buy in bulk and stare at the box for years wondering why...
Style: 1 mL - Luer Lock Unit Count: 100.0
I could get a three pack for three dollars and other packs between ten to twenty four syringes for around seven dollars at the cheapest on Amazon. I could get a hundred pack between $9.79 to $12.99, so there is little in between for quantity for the price and the "buy bulk it's cheaper per syringe" impulse kicked in. In reality I only needed a couple of 1 mL syringes for my project. I have a feeling that these will come in handy for random purposes but I also have a feeling that I'll have this box in the back of my medicine closet for many years to come. This listings competition is a Brandzig 1mL 100 count listing for $9.99 and BH Supplies 1mL 100 count listing for $9.79 on Amazon right now. Both of these listings have the luer slip style tip and have .02 markings. If you do not need the more precise measurement and do not care about the luer lock syringe tip then you can save three dollars going that route. This was the cheapest 100 count listing I found that had the .01 markings. Knowing that I was buying way more than I needed, I spent the extra three dollars in case I need that precision for pet medication or something random. I really don't have any complaints on the product itself at this stage. I've only used one syringe a few times so I'm not sure if the markings rub off easily or not. I've never had a 1 mL syringe on hand before and was used to trying to deal with air bubbles and "precise" measurements with 10 mL syringes. It is an order of magnitude easier to get rid of an air bubble in these 1 mL syringes than it is with a 10 mL syringe and the accuracy when dealing with small volumes of liquid is greater. ... show more
