Description
From tourniquets to trauma kits, TacMed gear is built for speed and durability under pressure - proven tools for real emergencies. TacMed Solutions was founded in 2003 by Ross Johnson, a Special Operations Forces medic. While deployed to Afghanistan, Ross discovered the tourniquet in his aid bag was an outdated design he could not rely on in modern combat. Determined to create a better solution, he designed and sewed the first SOF Tourniquets in his garage, supplying fellow medics and teammates deploying overseas. What began as a mission to protect friends grew into a commitment to provide dependable, field-tested medical gear.

Very nice tourniquet. CoTCCC certified gives you the reassurance of a quality product. Toruniquet feels good to the touch. Nice material. Thick enough band. Numerous demonstrations of this working online. Military approved. If soldiers use this on the battlefield, then its good enough for me. I love the orange and black. It's a very good size. It's smaller form factor than a Cat-7 so packs nicely. It's larger than the ETQ 2, but the ETQ 2 is not CoTCCC approved. I have not had to use it yet, but i am confident it will work. I have this in my IFAK that goes in my backpack everywhere I go. The tourniquet is easy to use. Offers the functionality I need. Functional for arm or legs and easy to deploy. It's about the dame price as other CoTCCC approved toruniquets. When its on sale its definitely a good value for your money. Would buy more for other kits.

Solid quality, hope I never need it

Picked up the SOF Tourniquet (Gen 5) to keep in the garage while I'm working with tools. Build quality feels excellent right out of the box — sturdy strap, smooth windlass action, and the buckle mechanism feels solid and reliable, not flimsy like some of the cheaper options out there. Obviously this isn't something you ever want to actually use, but knowing it's there and well-made gives real peace of mind when working with saws, grinders, or anything else that could cause a serious injury. It's compact enough to keep within easy reach without being in the way. Hope it just sits in the drawer forever, but I feel a lot better having quality gear on hand just in case. Highly recommend for anyone working with power tools or sharp equipment at home.

Great trainer without spending CAT money

Good tourniquet but not the best. These are excellent tourniquets and serve their purpose, but there are much better alternatives. They are lightweight, durable, and versatile. They are NOT easy to use for one person. Finding compatible cases isn’t as easy as some other brands.
