Description

This item does not include Wii Remotes. To sync Wii remotes with the console please follow these steps. 1. Press the Power Button on the Wii console to turn it on. 2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. If you are using a Wii mini, the SYNC Button is located on the left hand side next to the battery compartment. The SYNC Button is a darker shade of red than the console. 3. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to be synced. Some models of the Wii Remote include a hole in the battery cover and a tool on the wrist strap to push the SYNC Button with. With this model, the battery cover does not need to be removed to access the SYNC Button. 4. Press and release the SYNC Button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED on the front of the Wii Remote will blink. While the lights are still blinking, quickly press and release the red SYNC Button on the Wii console. 5. When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4). 6. This sync procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to the system.

  • Base Electronics LLC has amazing customer service and the Wii works perfectly!
I can not say enough good things about the seller Base Electronics LLC! I am recovering from a complicated surgery and was using WiiFit to record my weight, and the low-impact exercises for my medical team. It has been cost effective and crucial to my recovery. Then my Wii died! :O I bought an Amazon Renewed Wii thru Base Electronics LLC and I was extremely happy I could continue my existing regiment. I use it every day for multiple hours and usually just leave it on. 9 months went by and the video and audio started cutting in and out on the refurb (This was the problem on my original). Needless to say I was frustrated. Being in IT for close to 40 years, and building Test Equipment for Aerospace for several years afforded me the ability to troubleshoot at the component level in the past, but age has caught up with me; my soldering skills have waned due to vision, and my current health prevents me from spending a lot of time sitting, or bending, so I spent a lot of time on YouTube and Web searching possible causes to the issue. Bad capacitors in the audio / video circuit kept coming up as the cause of audio / video cutting out (HINT: Assumptions do not help!). I bought another Amazon Renewed Wii from Base Electronics LLC and decided to write them to let them know what I was experiencing. I really just wanted to repair my existing Wiis so I could keep my history, but they apparently do not go as deep as some of us old geeks. ;) They went out of their way to make it right though, which is the result of this review, since this level of customer support is non-existent in todays culture? They offered to replace the refurb Wii, even though it was WAY past the 90 day warranty. I am not very mobile, but I was troubleshooting as I could, and they were so patient and providing feedback at every step. They were willing to replace it from the get-go, but I wanted my history on the device, so I kept looking at it as I could... Fast forward a couple weeks, after trying different adapters, suspecting my TV going bad, and then finally hooking up a power monitoring solution because I saw the power supply having inconsistent voltages, but then being perfectly normal when I connected it to a load tester. The culprit was unusual and the solution was easy: My power company made changes at our sub-station that was causing major fluctuations that does not effect most appliances (We have always had brown-outs and dirty power, but it is a lot worse now.), but computer equipment just fails from time-to-time. I purchased a UPS, and guess what... the Wii PSU is behaving much more consistent, and no more audio / video cut-outs. I should be compensated by the power company, but alas, contracts are contracts. :( Anyway, that is my long, very odd story, but I am thankful Base Electronics LLC afforded me the time and was patient with me. Definitely give them your business! This level of customer service is so very rare anymore!!! ... show more

  • Remember to cool down your Wii Device upon Summer Arrival.
The Product came with everything intact, but upon arrival, I had to wait for the system to cool down after itself was sitting out within the hot sunlight. Took the device in and placed it where the Wii Box can cool down at cool room temperature. Started Working at Normal Temps afterwards.

  • Works well when pugged into a HDMI that works!
I bought this because my original wasn’t working. After hooking up the one I just received, I discovered it is my TV HDMI port’s are the problem. I’m keeping this one for a backup.

  • DO NOT BUY!!! Returned 3 times and ALL THREE had the same problem: DOESN'T READ DISCS
I first bought this wii because the one we had many years ago was thrown it out after it stopped working. We had tons of discs that we wanted to play, but when we tried it out it wouldn't read any discs and eventually crashed. I also heard a strange clicking noise, and no sound of the disc spinning. So i decided to return it and got another one, thinking we got unlucky with a dysfunctional console. But to my surprise, this one had the same problem. Without very much hope left I returned it one last time and got another one. And guess what? SAME EXACT PROBLEM. Trust me when I tell you, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!! ... show more

  • It works
I had to give it a system update when I got it, which was tedious, but it worked after. unfortunately mine was stolen so I didn't get to enjoy it very long, but id definitely recommend getting a used wii from Amazon over vintage stock or game stop, none of my systems have worked from them

  • Works great and I’m no longer getting a disk error message
Exactly what I was hoping for! It works great and I no longer am dealing with the frustration of a desk error that I was getting on my previous console. It’s been nice to have a working Wii again.
