Description

This item does not include Wii Remotes. To sync Wii remotes with the console please follow these steps. 1. Press the Power Button on the Wii console to turn it on. 2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. If you are using a Wii mini, the SYNC Button is located on the left hand side next to the battery compartment. The SYNC Button is a darker shade of red than the console. 3. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to be synced. Some models of the Wii Remote include a hole in the battery cover and a tool on the wrist strap to push the SYNC Button with. With this model, the battery cover does not need to be removed to access the SYNC Button. 4. Press and release the SYNC Button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED on the front of the Wii Remote will blink. While the lights are still blinking, quickly press and release the red SYNC Button on the Wii console. 5. When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4). 6. This sync procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to the system.

  • Base Electronics LLC has amazing customer service and the Wii works perfectly!
I can not say enough good things about the seller Base Electronics LLC! I am recovering from a complicated surgery and was using WiiFit to record my weight, and the low-impact exercises for my medical team. It has been cost effective and crucial to my recovery. Then my Wii died! :O I bought an Amazon Renewed Wii thru Base Electronics LLC and I was extremely happy I could continue my existing regiment. I use it every day for multiple hours and usually just leave it on. 9 months went by and the video and audio started cutting in and out on the refurb (This was the problem on my original). Needless to say I was frustrated. Being in IT for close to 40 years, and building Test Equipment for Aerospace for several years afforded me the ability to troubleshoot at the component level in the past, but age has caught up with me; my soldering skills have waned due to vision, and my current health prevents me from spending a lot of time sitting, or bending, so I spent a lot of time on YouTube and Web searching possible causes to the issue. Bad capacitors in the audio / video circuit kept coming up as the cause of audio / video cutting out (HINT: Assumptions do not help!). I bought another Amazon Renewed Wii from Base Electronics LLC and decided to write them to let them know what I was experiencing. I really just wanted to repair my existing Wiis so I could keep my history, but they apparently do not go as deep as some of us old geeks. ;) They went out of their way to make it right though, which is the result of this review, since this level of customer support is non-existent in todays culture? They offered to replace the refurb Wii, even though it was WAY past the 90 day warranty. I am not very mobile, but I was troubleshooting as I could, and they were so patient and providing feedback at every step. They were willing to replace it from the get-go, but I wanted my history on the device, so I kept looking at it as I could... Fast forward a couple weeks, after trying different adapters, suspecting my TV going bad, and then finally hooking up a power monitoring solution because I saw the power supply having inconsistent voltages, but then being perfectly normal when I connected it to a load tester. The culprit was unusual and the solution was easy: My power company made changes at our sub-station that was causing major fluctuations that does not effect most appliances (We have always had brown-outs and dirty power, but it is a lot worse now.), but computer equipment just fails from time-to-time. I purchased a UPS, and guess what... the Wii PSU is behaving much more consistent, and no more audio / video cut-outs. I should be compensated by the power company, but alas, contracts are contracts. :( Anyway, that is my long, very odd story, but I am thankful Base Electronics LLC afforded me the time and was patient with me. Definitely give them your business! This level of customer service is so very rare anymore!!! ... show more

  • Wii nights are back on!
Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I'm always objective and honest about the product or service. I review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know! I was nervous about replacing our old Wii unit that died with this "renewed" version, but the price was right. Worked well out of the box, no issues and still going strong. We had hoped not to lose our Wii and was happy to see we could get a renewed one and keep playing. Would purchase again. ... show more

  • May not work properly.. returns available and easy.
Ordered as a replacement for my old Wii that eventually stopped reading discs properly. The first unit that arrived had a faulty bluetooth module (remotes would not stay connected for more than two minutes). The return process was quick and easy. The second unit arrived (no additional cost) and it works perfectly fine. The seller does not test the functionality of disk drives or bluetooth modules to my knowledge. Purchase is basically a gamble, in which I happened to get lucky the second time. ... show more

  • It arrived very well packaged
It works perfectly and arrived like new...just a superficial scratch which was fixed with a sticker. And as you can see in the photo, the cover for the GameCube ports is superficial and doesn't affect their function. My son is super happy because he can use his retro games again...

  • Wii great condition
Our replacement Wii works well. It arrived fairly quickly. It was packaged in plastic and bubble wrap. Glad to have Wii bowling back. Would recommend.

  • Disappointed
On the plus side, it is a reasonably priced alternative for someone who already has all the accessories from their previous WII. It arrived promptly and was well packaged. When the first WII sent wouldn't pair with my controllers, they quickly sent a replacement with a "helpful" note on how to sync controllers to the box. On the negative side, these units are clearly refurbished, they apparently paint all units for aesthetic purposes (which is okay) but it makes the compartment door fit bad. The doors always fall off. A minor point to be sure. More annoying is that when pointing the controller at the screen, it is REAL shaky. The cursor bounces all around and it can be difficult to make a selection. This shakiness seems less obvious in playing games. Another concern is that it doesn't remember characters or progress. Adding a memory card didn't improve this. This is fine with regular games meant to be finished in a single session; all you lose is high score data, however it can be a problem with games played across multiple sessions. It is also an issue when using a balance board as it forces you to go through all the "tests" each time before playing what you want. I am not going to return a 2nd time as I doubt I will get much satisfaction. I will live with this reluctantly ... show more
