Replaced the ballast on 2003 Lexus IS300 two days ago. Compared to the original ballast, the GenXenon has a longer cable and the bulb plug has a little different design, but it's an exact fit. Has a lifetime warranty, but I hope it keeps working because the installation is a pain. I dropped the bumper cover and removed the headlight housing. One could probably install it without removing the housing through the ballast access cover in the bottom of the housing, but it's cramped. Hint - you have to adjust headlight counter-clockwise about 15 turns to get enough clearance to get the bulb plug through the housing to remove and replace the ballast. Count how many turns to return the adjustment. Watch the YouTubes. ... show more

I needed to replace the ballast on my 2002 Lexus RX 300 and this looked like it would do the trick. The unit I received was about a millimeter and a half thicker than the original part and wouldn’t seat completely. See the photo. The ballast got wedged in the metal bracket/housing that holds it inside the headlight assembly. I had to use pliers pull it out and I damaged the part in the process. This ballast will probably work in other vehicles where it is screwed in place on the outside of the headlight assembly but the one I received would not fit the headlight housing on my car. That being said, while I stand by what I wrote above about my experience, their customer service was truly outstanding. I was pretty salty in my email to them and initially posted a low review. I appreciate their fast response on a Saturday and their total willingness to make things right. They offered me many solutions and sent photos of their product compared to OEM parts to demonstrate the typical size and tolerances they work with. I'm not an expert on this part but, in the end, I think the one I received was probably an anomaly (or my headlight assembly is). If I had had more time and my car hadn't been in pieces on the driveway, I would have accepted the replacement part they offered and tried again. Thanks to GenXenon for being awesome and putting up with my regrettably sh*tty attitude. :-| As a side note, I really liked that the bulb socket on the cable could be removed so easily. This allows you to feed the cable through the headlight housing without screwing up the alignment of the bulb to make room for the entire socket to feed through. You have to remove the metal cover from the socket and flex a couple plastic tabs to take it apart but it's easy and the instructions are clear. Plus it's a WAY better approach than having to adjust the headlight out of the way (and likely screwing up your headlight alignment in the process). Again, thanks GenXenon. Just installed and works so far. Lexus wanted about $550 for an OEM replacement and this one cost $50. Will update if I have any problems in the future.

I am SO happy to have found this product! After learning I had HID lights & having them not work (for months) I was told by my local mechanic that there was a headlight generator malfunction & I needed to take it to the Toyota dealership & be prepared to pay at least $2500. I looked all over the internet & found a sienna forum. I ordered 2 ballasts, watched a YouTube video on how to remove the assembly & viola! 2 perfectly working headlights for only about an hour & a halfs work and under $100! ... show more

Bought 2 of these as a cost effective alternative to the 265.00 toyota brand. Installed them on my 2005 prius. Perfect fit and paired with phillips D2R xenon bulbs has my car lit up like crazy.

was a direct fit into 2005 prius. just remove headlight assembly and watch video on how to take off and put back on the assembly that attaches to the bulb. no clipping wires or soldering needed. will update review later if it fails.

First strike folks sent me a unit that wouldn't fit. Corner pin cutout was too small and the screw holes were 94mm on center. My bulb assembly, and the old unit, had the mounting tabs at 90mm on center. No problem returning through Amazon. Got in contact with GenXenon and got assurances that they were OEM compatible. Picture with response sealed the deal. Unit ordered and installed on 2004 Lexus RX330. So far so good and still nearly 6 years of warranty remaining. ... show more

    • Great aftermarket option for 2001 IS300
I purchased this and had my mechanic installed for me and it works like the original. One of my front headlights had been out for a few months and it was time to change it. I had already figured out it wasn't the bulb so I ordered this instead of having the shop order it for $200.
