This is an EXCELLENT replacement for the original rod. My red attachment button broke off of my old one, I tried gluing it but that only made it difficult to take on and off. I was worried that this replacement would be loose, ill fitting, or poor quality. But it’s none of those things. I actually like it so much more than my original. I like the darker color over factory. It looks nice. Kinda miss the OE Dyson label on the tubing but this isn’t a huge deal. It works just as well as the OE Dyson one and for a pole that clicks in this is all you need. Recommend if you are trying to save money or just fix your older vacuum. This is on our Dyson V8 Animal. It worked for a year, and then then the top button no longer locks in, so the wand falls out. See photo. I didn't expect it to last forever, but a year is pretty bad

Exactly what I needed for half the price of the Dyson! My brush bar on Dyson V8 stopped spinning and I found out it was the pole that had a faulty connection and not the brush bar itself. Ordered this replacement and it fit perfectly and fixed my problem for half the price!!

I have replaced the wand on my Dyson vacuum twice much better value than replacing the entire vacuum however they did send me one vacuum wand that the plugs did not line up properly, but they replaced it easily
