I love these weights. I bought the 260lb color set + an additional 10lb set. I honestly wish I had bought them months ago when I was first thinking about it. The quality is on par with most box weights Ive been around. While I cannot attest to the drop strength or bounce height, I imagine I could drop these things off a 5 story roof or throw them out the window of a car and they would still be excellent quality weights. Since they are made of rubber Im guessing they would have some sort of rebound like all rubber things do. Im anti-dropping weights, pick them up and set them down. The smell out of the box is comparable to a new yoga mat, very mild. The diameter of all weights are essentially identical and they stack nicely with each other on the bar. The weights have a little lip on them so it’s easy to pick up and move around. The weights slide on easy and fit snug to my super curl, 7ft, and 5ft Olympic bars with very little rattle or shake. The weight accuracy is fairly spot on, although I checked using a bathroom scale, so take that as you will. The customer service for Rep Fitness is amazing - I had a problem with my order (they forgot to ship the additional 10lb set), I sent them an email on a Saturday morning and not only did they respond same day, they responded twice that same day and resolved the issue with a new tracking number before dinner.. Honestly, I thought a joke was being played on me because customer service is usually universally awful, but these folks don’t mess around. I would 100% buy from Rep fitness again without hesitation. If you have been on the fence about buying some of these, pull the trigger and go pick up some heavy things. This review was freely given after personal purchase of the weight set. The media could not be loaded. Good product. Solid feel. The integrity of the center ring hasn’t budged, and I’m rough on all my things. Very quiet and don’t show any signs of wear. Worth the money.

I bought the full pack. The plates arrived in individual boxes that mostly held up during the shipping process. The plates themselves are solid and durable. I was disappointed that there was some sticker/paper strips on the inside of the plates’ openings. They were challenging to remove fully. If you’re curious about the smell, don’t believe the ratings that say there is no smell. If you do any amount of research online, you’re going to find that it’s unavoidable with rubberized plates. I cleaned mine, tried air deodorizer sprays (in the room), plug-in deodorizes, and added charcoal odor eliminators with no luck. Air, sunlight, and time are the only proven ways to remove the smell. ... show more

I read good reviews, but I'm very impressed! These have bright coloring, they seem to smell when you first take them out of the box but they don't smell at all once they're unpacked. I weighed mine and they're dead on. They're slim and have a very premium look and feel. I was so pleased, I bought the 10lb and 25lb sets and the 35lb set will be next! ... show more

Great size, this is my second set of these. When loading a bar with heavier plates, these are nice to be able to slid on and off because they are ever so slightly smaller than all the other REP Fitness plates. This also keeps them from getting damaged when the bar hits the ground. Not stinky when they arrive, the only issue, they appear a bit stained or discolored from the manufacturing process. This has zero effect on how they work so it's still 5 stars form me. ... show more

No rubber smell after unboxing and cleaning of production protective coating. Not all wieghts are balanced so when using a bearing hub bar I balanced a few of them that were off by drilling and adding brass inserts out of 12 only 2 needing it. Pro models that cost much more do this same thing to calibrate for comp. I uses a simple wheel balancer at our local hotrod shop and a calibrated scale for wieght.
