Great detail for a small scale excavator. This 1:24 scale excavator has a metal bucket and a metal engine cover. The articulation is ok for a toy grade rc and is on the higher end of toy grade. Overall for the price you can have some fun with it.

Ours did not work at all and all of the instructions were in a different language and the ones you could read were misspelled. Got this for my nephews birthday and he couldn’t even use it.

First I'd like to say it does everything a excavator really does however you do not have fine control over the digging it is automated and only goes down to a set depth which is just below the track barely. Second off it is extremely small the picture shows the remote being smaller than it this is false the remote and it are almost the same size. It does have a metal ish bucket and back cover that lifts up with a hood prop to hold it open. Has a little light on the side that you can turn off and on. Has sounds you can turn off and on. Drives forward and backward and turns on the tracks, spins around several times on the body, if you could control the digging it would be a great toy, as it is now it is a very good prop and useful for demonstration purposes. To be clear the arm completes the entire digging motion using only one button, you cannot set a depth or dump just the bucket as the entire arm operates in the digging motion using just one button there is a second button however it just runs the digging cycle backward.

This is a really fun toy that the kids really enjoy using, even the automatic mode that shovels, dumps and drives. It looks very real and although it can't dig more than very loose dirt, it's still useable and they just make piles of dirt for it. My biggest issue is that the arm has such a specific movement and that is it. It looks good in a shoveling motion, but why in the world there's no movement to being upright to drive properly. it makes all of the right movements so it should be CABABLE, but it's set up so that it can only move overall in the shoveling motion overall. Makes it much more tippy, less stable driving on any incline than it should be. Disappointing enough for me, that I did take off the extra star. Other than that it's just not truly DIGGGABLE due to it's size and weight primarily. Fun but lacking.

The media could not be loaded. This excavator toy moves and functions surprisingly well. I had other types of these toys where the controls were sluggish, had delayed movements and the parts would jam. I can report this one is the exception! From the driving pattern, raising the arm up and down and the spin and rotation, this toy responds the moment you use these actions on the controller. Also, with the toy mimicking the sounds of a real excavator, it can feel like you're driving a shrunken version of one of the coolest power equipment out there! I test-drove this on a carpet right out of the box and had no issues with its movement. Performs equally well in a sandbox for some fun excavator scooping action. The appearance of this toy is right on target as my 4-year-old was able to easily identify what he was looking at once I had it outside of the box and operational. The controls themselves are easy enough for a four-year-old to figure out, though the toy says six and up. Seems rather strong as well during play my son knocked it over quite a few times and so far not a scratch! Additionally, the size of this toy is not too big and can be stored easily, which is a plus as too often toys like this are excessively big. Overall, if you have a child who enjoys power equipment, this toy is a solid one to add to the collection for sure!
