The kids love it! The battery does die rather quickly but it's rechargeable so that's not a huge deal. The "steam" ability makes it look pretty cool.

We organize an end of year party at a school for special kids and we have an RC car area that has over a dozen cars in it. It sounds cliché but just about every car was the best in some category. This one got the most giggles and the most chatter per dollar. Really, what's not to love about an 8 wheeled RC car in the shape of a silly dinosaur that breathes smoke? If this thing doesn't make you smile, you need to go see the Wizard of Oz and get the Tin Man's heart implanted. BTW lots of folks thought it was an RC Croc. (look at it from the side with the mouth closed, you'll see it) The listing and other reviewers talk about the Dino part a lot so let me say a few words about the car part. This 8 wheel drive car is kinda brilliant in its own right. It can climb a vertical face greater than the diameter of it's wheel. Imagine a Toyota Camry climbing a wall a foot and a half high. Treated as a robot it's kind of amazing. I've reviewed a bunch of RC cars and nearly every time I review one of these modern cars I think it's my favorite. Truth is almost all modern RC cars are amazing. But if I could only buy one for a kid, this would be hard to not pick. It's fun it's cute, it's an amazing car, durability is decent, price is fantastic. Highly recommended. TIP: If you do buy it, consider buying extra batteries so the fun never pauses. This car comes with one battery and most come with two. A two pack on Amazon is ~10 bucks. Three batteries should provide about an hour of run time which is a lot. Search '500mah rc battery' PRO TIP: Some cheaper cars come with 2 batteries. We don't buy extra batteries much, we just buy cheap cars and use the batteries.

The sounds are neat, though can be muted if you want it to be more low key. The dinosaur starts engine noises when it is turned on, and screeches/roars when it connects to the controller. The water tank is very small, it came with a pipette to fill the tank and only holds like half of that amount of water. The misting feature is really cool though, and gets some really good sprays for the tank size. It is easy to control and use, and is overall a really cute and fun product. It does come with a rechargeable battery, but is kind of weird in that the charger doesn't plug into the car, you have to remove the battery (which just sits loose in the battery compartment) and plug just the battery into the USB charger. That is mildly inconvenient, but is a smart way to avoid dust or damp from getting into any charge ports. Overall I really like this little car!

This dinosaur RC car has it all! The car is super fun looking and the colors are very bright. The wheels are neat in that the whole wheel assembly can rotate and move. This allows you to do stunts, drive with the dinosaur elevated, and even drive upside down! That makes it very handy when learning to drive it. Even crashes can turn into a fun trick. The car also has sound effects and lights. The sound effects are controlled by the remote along with the mouth, which can spray out water. The features of this truck are super impressive. The remote control connected to the car without issue. There are quite a few buttons, which were a little overwhelming for my son at first. However, you only need the basic ones to start driving it and then you can slowly add the other ones in. It didn't take him long to be able to drive it everywhere.
