This is a really fun truck, really cool looking and with the body made out of steel instead of plastic shell cover! It is very responsive, you can make the rear wheels spin even on the carpet, and on the hard surface it will do donuts and burnouts! The remote has a nice rubber wheel to control the turns and the power delivery is progressive so you can ride fast or smooth. The response is amazing, did not expect this truck to respond so immediately! This would be a fun RC car for any age group, it looks really nice with a lot of great detail and drives like a proper race car! It allows some fun tricks for more advanced drivers and can still be pretty tamed for a beginner. Definitely 5 stars! ... show more

This RC Truck works pretty well and seems to be fairly durable. The only complaint that I had was that the battery doesn't last as long as one would expect, but the fact that they include an extra battery really helped to keep my nephew entertained when he comes over. Item: Desdoni RC Racing Car 1:14 Scale All Terrain RC Car 4WD 25KM/H High Speed Model Vehicle 2.4GHz Racing Sport Toy Car for Adults Boys Girls Kids Gift 2Pcs Rechargeable Batteries (D-orange) There were other cars/variations form this company but, I chose the D-orange version partially because of the bigger tires (compared to some of their other vehicles). Instead I received G-yellow. Not sure if it would have really made a difference though. I was thinking it may have handled better on off-road surfaces but, I think all of them have the same undercarriage so, it struggled a little. It wasn't bad but, flat paved surfaces are the best, especially for speed. The steering fully commits to left or right when turning the dial. There’s no subtle turning. Because of this, it spins out a lot for lack of any precise control. That sounds bad. But, visually, it’s still pretty cool to watch as you try and gain control. Two batteries is a plus. I’m also a fan of the USB charging cable. While I’m sure a dedicated wall plug would charge the unit faster, the USB allows for a variety of charging options (wall plugs, car chargers, power banks, etc). The remote feels cheap, though this seems to be a trend with all RC cars in this price range. Everything works but the trigger and steering knob feel a little flimsy. If a kid gets overly excited and yanks the trigger or dial, I can see it breaking. But, with normal use, it should be fine. You’ll need to buy AA batteries for the remote. When I was younger, I was just thrilled to have something that I could control remotely. While it’s not close to an actual hobby car, a kid likely won’t care. It’s still a lot of fun. ... show more

So this guy is quick! (For a sub $100 R/C) But it is made to be driven on the sidewalk or the street. (Or inside of course) it gets stuck in the grass SOOO easy. (It does tell you in the instructions not to drive it oh anything other then a hard surface.) Does come with two batteries. And mine was already charged! Lots of fun if you have a good place to race it. ... show more

This RC wouldn't even drive over the rocks in my driveway like it says it would it barely even drove from when I put it on the flat ground and I had it on inside the house on the floor the tires would just turn I was able to return that one though it's fairly little problems

This truck packs some punch, it’s really fast for a 1/14 scale RC truck. It comes with two batteries so you can keep them charged up for a longer experience. It has four wheel drive, so it climbs pretty good. And I love the aluminum body panels.
