  • So if you are an engineer like me this 2 wire cut off will work on the positive post So if you are an engineer like me this 2 wire cut off will work on the positive post
Color: 250A Standard
So here are pictures of the manual with some details and diagrams of what I am talking about. Would be nice if that was in the product description. So if you are an engineer like me this 2 wire cut-off will work on the positive post instead of the negative post for use as a shut-off. In my truck, my negative post is almost impossible to connect to and also I run dual batteries using an auto-isolation circuit so this needed to be set on the positive side of my battery to prevent discharge through the positive cable as the ground is shared between both batteries and the auto-switch is on the positive side and would require a major rewire job. So before you connect anything under the hood this is what you need to do with 86 and 85 the POWER POINTS for the electronics. The connectors for the batter on the outermost of the relay are NOT polarity sensitive so do not care if it is positive or negative or what direction the power is flowing. YOU MUST CHANGE THIS BEFORE YOU CONNECT ANYTHiNG TO USE THIS ON THE POSITIVE POST What the manufacturer did is they tapped the negative 85 using a short wire to the negative post for the circuit side then using a longer wire run 86 to the positive battery post. Then the relay when switched on connects the out port to the negative battery cable for the body ground. As this is ACTUALLY a 2-wire cut-off relay and THOSE 2 wires on 85 and 86 are what MATTER as to how they connect to power, the manufacturer just uses a short cable to the BATTERY SIDE of the cut-off part of the relay and that is what makes it polarity sensitive for negative side use. BUT what you can actually do is connect the relay to the positive post and the output to feed to the rest of the vehicle. the CENTER posts are the ones that you CAN NOT misconnect. To use this on the positive side instead do the following. REVERSE the black and red wires on the center 2(two) connections (85- 86+) so that the negative side 85- is connected to the long red wire that connects to the negative battery post and the positive side 86+ becomes the black short wire that connects to the positive post of the battery. A relay is a Relay or a basic switch that is opened and closed by a magnetic coil being energized and in itself the contacts are not polarity sensitive. It is the electronic circuit on the CENTER post which IS POLARIZED!!! Doing the above or even eliminating the manufacturer cables and electing to use longer red and black cables to provide power to the 85 and 86 on the relay to the correct terminals will allow this to work on the positive side of the battery. Not all installations can use the negative side of the battery in my case I need to be able to cut off the positive side due to the DUAL battery system and shared negative connection. If this is reposted I will add photos of my configuration when the sun comes out as the Delivery was late at night and there was not a lot of light and I have been dealing with the power drain problem for some time and disconnecting and reconnecting my battery using a jump box. In my truck someone tried to jimmy the door locks so instead of replacing them I added power locks and an RFID pad to unlock the doors, there is no other way as there is not a working key lock, it has to be the RFID pad or using the power locks relay via the wireless door lock remote. Have to get access to the hood release which is INSIDE a LOCKED vehicle to then attach the jump pack. I have jump posts on the outside but too much cable causes too much resistance and it will not start with a dead battery and the jump pack with all that cable resistance even using 2 gauge cable is to much resistance for efficient starting. But the door locks will operate. ... show more

  • Solved my mystery battery drain instantly—this little remote switch saved me a ton of frustration!
Color: 250A Standard
I installed the DZSSCY Remote Battery Disconnect Switch on my vehicle after dealing with an overnight battery drain caused by a grounding issue. I wanted an easy way to disconnect power without popping the hood every time. What I Loved: Instant Fix: With one push of the remote button, I could cut power completely and stop the drain—no more dead battery in the morning! Simple Installation: It attached right to the negative terminal, and the streamlined design made setup quick. No extra wiring hassle. Strong Performance: The 250A rated current and 450A peak handled my truck’s power draw easily. Versatile Use: Works great for cars, trucks, and RVs—any 12V system really. Peace of Mind: Not only does it prevent battery drain, but it’s also a solid anti-theft measure. Diagnosis, Not Cure: The switch fixed my issue short-term, but I later discovered my new alternator was actually faulty and causing the drain. The disconnect worked perfectly until that was sorted out. Final Verdict: This remote battery disconnect switch is a lifesaver for anyone fighting mysterious battery drain or looking for a simple anti-theft option. Easy to install, works flawlessly, and gives you total control at the push of a button. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Easy and Nice
Color: 250A Standard
It works better than expected. Was concerned that i had nothing to mount it on but it clamps on well enough that the weight is supported. My only regret is I left the fob in my pocket and it got washed. Changed battery hoping to save it but it does not work. Down to one fob. Please share how to order just the fob. ... show more

  • I Do not recommend this battery disconnected, waste of $$$
Color: 250A Standard
Install as easy as possible. It let me stranded on the way home. For some reason it quit working 100 miles from home where it got stock on power off. Could not turn back on with or without remote. Had to ask for a tools to a stranger and removed the whole switch in order to continue the trip home. No, I don’t recommend this battery disconnected to anyone. It fails offline and leaves you thinking something is wrong with the car but it’s the switch itself. Had to pay tow truck to the auto part store. ... show more

  • have a car eletrition fix the drain not some one desconnects to solve problems
Color: 250A Standard
The Remote Battery Disconnect Switch is very easy to install i had one installed first time it take me 10 minutes. and it works very good, the only problem with the battery disconnected or isolated the alarm system is not energized. the alarm is dead, instructions say it also acts as a anti theft, well with out an alarm siren going off who is to stop the the heaves from pooping the engine hood, but with the siren sound off they don't like to start trouble shooting the problem, the next down side is you keep connecting and disconnecting the battery what you are doing is you are resetting the computer this means when inspection time come it will not be ready unless inspection day you drive the car 45 to 50 miles minimum to reset all the cotes if any, so i fined that this item needs more engineering work to make it 100%. but if you have an old julappy none computerized vehicle thes for you is a 100% magic ... show more

  • Great for classic cars, adds security, easy install, best upgrade to date Great for classic cars, adds security, easy install, best upgrade to date
Color: 250A Standard
Best custom addition I've made to my C3 Corvette. Since I only drive my classic cars intermittently, my car batteries will drain between drives. I installed knife switches which work great, but they are cumbersome to access every time I want to drive. This remote switch brilliantly solves the issue. The wiring install was simple, but the physical install was a bit tricky (was working in a tight space on a battery that didn't have posts), but I got it to work and wow is it fantastic. Adds a layer of security as well since would be criminals have to bypass the remote switch to activate the battery. Something to be aware of, since the remote has the ability to deactivate the battery at any time, it is possible to cut off the battery while driving, which obviously would be undesirable. I love the convenience of being able to activate/deactivate my battery with the push of my remote. Will be buying more of these. Great value at this price, highly recommend! ... show more

  • Issues in extreme cold
Color: 250A Standard
This switch has worked as it should, except in the extreme cold. We've had steady temps below 0 for nearly a week and have had issues where the switch has disconnected inadvertently while parked(not so scary) and driving(very scary). This is very extreme weather, but makes me wish I would've purchased a manual rather than remote disconnect. ... show more
