After suffering from an increasingly saggy Sleep Number mattress for several months, I was prepared to finally break down and buy a new pump. I bought my Sleep Number bed 15 years ago, so I still had 5 years left on my warranty. The Sleep Number agent never even flinched when she told me the pump (just the pump!) cost $1,100 and, even with my warranty, my cost would still be $391. Since I wasn't entirely sure the pump was the issue, because the agent told me the problem might also be that my air mattresses might be too old and starting to leak, I was about ready to just buy a new regular mattress and get rid of my Sleep Number bed, but I decided to go "pump shopping" before I gave up. I have never bought an air mattress pump before (other than the original one that came with my Sleep Number bed). I didn't even know other companies sold them or if they would work well or work at all with my bed. This pump was half the price the replacement one would have cost me from Sleep Number, so I gave it a shot. It arrived incredibly fast, and I hooked it up the same day. It only took about 15 minutes--and most of that time was spent cutting the thick hoses off of the original pump to reattach to this new one. Other than that, the process was very fast and simple, and everything fit and worked perfectly. It took a few days to get used to the remote--it just goes up and down without letting you set it to a specific number like you do with a Sleep Number remote, but now I'm used to it. I did wait a few weeks before writing this review to make sure the pump worked, that it easily let me adjust the numbers, that the mattress stayed inflated, that it didn't make any loud noises, etc. I have had zero issues, the pump works AMAZINGLY WELL, my mattress stays inflated at the right number, and it cost me half as much as what Sleep Number would have charged me as a "valued customer". It's about as loud as the original pump, but that doesn't bother me because I only hear it when I'm changing the number, which I rarely ever do. In summary, this pump is terrific! It saved my bed, saved my wallet, and saved my aching back. My only regret is that I didn't research and find out about this option and buy it months sooner.

This thing is fantastic - I wish I bought it years ago. We have an old "select comfort" King-sized bed. The kind where you pump it up manually to whatever number you want. It had a hard-wired remote control and the led on the remote control slowly burned out over the years. Also one side of the bed would not stay inflated. NOW, after buying this, the bed stays inflated. It automatically adjusts to whatever number you set. When it inflates/deflates automatically, it's very quiet and won't wake you up. You can barely hear it. Also it's nice to have a working LED and a wireless remote control. Installation was very easy. The most difficult part of the installation will be removing the hoses from the old pump - just skip that step by cutting the hoses off of the pump with a blade. Total installation takes about 10 minutes. My only negative - and I haven't had it long enough to really be sure what's going on - it seems like I set the comfort level to about 50 ... but then when I check it days later, it will say 65 or 70. Seems to creep up for some reason so I do still have to adjust it every once in a while. Not totally sure what the issue is there. Update: I did end up turning off the APR (automatic pressure recovery) function because the pressure kept creeping up too high. Still no regrets with my purchase.

I've had a sleep number bed for 25+ yrs and this was the simplest replacement I've ever done. The pump fits perfectly and though there are no instructions for the replacement, you really don't need them. The remote works a little different from the original, but there are instructions and troubleshooting tips for this. The only slight issue I had was calibrating the remote to the pump, (it took me about 6 tries before I did it right), but once done the bed was re-inflated very quickly. I would have to say that I'm very pleased with this product and would buy again in a second.

I replaced my Sleep Number pump with this one. I do like the wireless remote, versus the corded Sleep Number remote. I hope it lasts longer as well. The set-up was easier than expected, but that's because of the excellent customer service. The tech called me right away when I emailed in a question. He also gave me a number that I could call for additional questions. He was very helpful. The pump is much smaller and much quieter than the one I replaced. It was a little tricky to install, but the tech walked me through the process and when I followed his instructions everything worked as promised. As other reviewers have noted, you do have to cut the hoses attached to your old pump in most cases. So there's no going back if you don't like this product. But it is extremely quiet. And it is holding the pressure. The pressure adjustment is a little tricky (although I remember going through this with the Sleep Number remote as well). It measures the pressure in increments of 5. I can't remember if that was also the case with the Sleep Number remote. The LCD went out early and I haven't been able to see a reading in a while. What's really nice about this controller is the memory setting. I was able to set a pressure and then try out a lower pressure (which proved to be a mistake). All I had to do was press memory, and it went right back to the original pressure. Again, all I'm seeing is 30 vs 25, so I'm not sure if it will reset smaller increments (I can still make smaller adjustments if necessary). But it's proved itself to me. I think I finally have a setting that's comfortable. But the customer service is the main reason I support this product. It's rare to find tech service that's so helpful and so available (AND that speaks English without an accent). I hope it stays that way. And I hope this product lasts. The tech told me that they have customers who have been using the pump and remote without problems for over 10 years. I hope that's true. For now, I'm giving them 3/4 stars because I would have preferred to have instructions or a video available when I received the product.

Purchased the ReM Wireless Air Bed Pump to replace the "dead" wireless pump and remote for my 5000 Series Sleep Comfort bed. It replaced the Sleep Comfort pump, Model PFCS03-DR, without modification. Ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived on a Sunday (no Prime). Thanks Amazon! The unit came with two valves that fit perfectly into the sleep comfort air hose. The end then plugs easily into the new Wireless Air Pump. No need to remove the hoses from the mattress. Just cut the air hoses on the Sleep Comfort unit, insert the valves that come with the unit, and plug the hose into the new air pump. Can't get any simplier. I did have an issue with the wireless remote and contacted SilverFish. The wireless remote was not showing the remote was calibrated to my bed but I learned it had already been calibrated and obviously missed the message showing it was calibrated with my bed and everything was okay. I wouldn't mention this but wanted to say I was totally impressed with SilverFish as I got an immediate response to telephonically contact their representative immediately. I called and he walked me through my issue with the remote and it was fixed completely to my satisfaction. Felt like a VIP as I got a "Hi, Mr. Young, I have been expecting your call" response when I called! The pump works flawlessly and is definitely much quieter than the Sleep Comfort model. It seems to inflate/deflate much faster too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a replacement for your Sleep Comfort bed! Thanks SilverFish for the outstanding support and product!

I have a 20 year old select comfort cal king dual chamber 2 hose mattress system for our old waterbed. The wired remote finally died. I took a chance & bought this replacement pump system with a wireless remote. It took me about 20 minutes; not to set up the new pump, but to half disassemble the bed to get to the old one, which was just because of how we set it up. Switching the pumps took less than 5 minutes, once I could get to it. The new pump worked perfectly! Granted, you sacrifice a little time of pumping to have a much more quiet pump system, but it’s worth it. I hope it holds up well over time. We’ll see. The only thing I wish it had was clear markings of which is right & left on the pump ports. Maybe it did, but I didn’t notice. So, left is right & right is left, since I don’t want to waste time switching the bladder hoses. I am very impressed after initial install. I’ve heard that the memory function doesn’t work well, so I won’t use it. My original pump system didn’t have that either, so no loss there. This has breathed new life into our old mattress at a fraction of the cost of getting a new pump system from sleep number, & we get to avoid the high pressure sales tactics to upsell to a new mattress system. Well done REM, well done!

I rarely write reviews, but because of the quality of this product and the return on investment, I couldn't be happier and felt the need to share. We've had our air bed for approximately 8 years and during a recent installation of new carpeting in our bedroom, we had to move the pump tat came with our bed. In the move, we broke pieces off of the two ports on the pump (an Innomax Adjust-A-Rest SQ pump). Additionally, the pump stopped pumping air when I attempted to investigate the issue with the ports. Needless to say, the pump was rendered useless. I initially contacted the manufacturer of our bed and found out that to replace the pump with the same version would be $300 + shipping. Chagrined, I went in search of less expensive alternatives. Eventually, my search brought me to Amazon where I happened upon the REM Air System Pump from SilverFish and I am happy that it did. After reading the reviews and the attractiveness of the price I purchased the unit. Similar to some of the other reviewers, I had to make a few modifications to get the 1/2" Inner Diameter tubing that was attached to the bladders of our bed to work with the 3/8" ID quick lock connectors that came with the REM unit. A quick run to Lowe's to purchase 3/8" tubing, 1/2" to 3/8" brass connectors, and pipe collars/clamps and I was in business. The modifications were fairly simple and within 1 hour I had the new pump connected to our bed and once again was able to fill the bladders to desired levels. As other reviewers have stated, this pump is very quiet. Initially I thought it wasn't working because I heard no noise, but then watched as the remote quickly and efficiently reached '99' on my side of the bed. Additionally, despite showing a delivery date of 4/23, we received the pump in less than 3 days. I am extremely happy with this purchase and I am confident that it will last longer and perform better than our old Adjust-A-Rest. Superior product at a very reasonable price. Thank you SilverFish!
