It was 1:00am in the morning on12/28/23 when I needed to add air to our Sleep Number bed, but to our dismay was unable to access the inflation control (inflate/deflate) on the manufactures app on my cell phone. All our app data presets were lost. I was infuriated and had an idea to go on-line and search for a replacement air pump with wired controls. There it was, REM Air System. It matched what I wanted to accomplish. NO App, Dual Wired Controls with readout, quiet operation, ease of installation, ease of use and affordable. I placed an order at 3:15am that same morning, received the REM Air System the next day and in about a half an hour had the new unit up an operating. The only way you can go wrong on this air pump is to not buy one! Our pump was at least 15 years old and went bad. I ordered this one hoping it would work on our older bed mattress. It arrived in one day and works great!. Air hose nozzles matched our old pump and I had it working in a couple minutes from receiving. We love the digital controls!     • My High Hopes Were Rewarded
We've been milking the Sleep Number bed in our guest bedroom for years. With company coming for the holidays we learned the air pump had given out. I went to Sleep Number and was discouraged at the replacement cost-- it's what we paid for the whole bed! So I took a look at Amazon and the REM Air System was very promising, and at half the price. Setup was just a little challenging: The supplied connectors are perfect, and the theory was a simple as can be. The twist was how hard I had to press to seat the connectors on the pump. Which is a GOOD THING. It means they won't be coming off anytime soon. Just PUSH PUSH PUSH and you'll get it done! I could not be happier with the product quality and function. The controls are an improvement over the originals, and I really like separating the power supply from the pump. I cannot speak to customer service, because I did not need them, but I have no doubt they would bend over backwards to help if I did. Thanks, Silver Fish International, LLC. Perfect replacement for my sleep number bed pump that died. Easy to hook up and works perfectly. I can’t comment on durability since we just got it but it appears well made and I expect it will hold up just fine.

    • Less expensive than a new mattress.
I have two air mattresses, both of them single compartment mattresses, that I bought maybe 20 years or more ago. They came with a lifetime warranty... Then the original company was bought by Comfort Air. A bit over 10 years ago one of the pumps died. Comfort Air did provide a replacement. Actually for both mattresses and designed for two compartment maters. Good deal. Different air pump but all the same features. A week or so back that air pump died. Any button either sent the device into confusion or resulted in the pump just running continuously. Like disconnect the power to stop the pump and manually let air out to a reasonable firmness. Well the Life Time Warranty is now called prorated and the pumps no longer even made. I found this replacement on Amazon, far less expensive than a new mattress and bought one. Worst case I return it if it doesn’t work. It is far quieter and does have a memory function and again designed for two compartments. But they work independently, so I just connected one side. It did take a tubing adapter. But it really works so well, that I went ahead and ordered a second pump for the other mattress. That replacement pump had started losing pressure, so a new pump with a memory function was not just a fix but a step up. Be sure, I only just set these up, so I can’t say anything about durability. But I don’t have to adjust the air pressure every day. So far they have held at the preferred pressure for almost a week... a took one star off only because the second pump came as loose parts in the box. All the parts looked new and seem to work fine, but it lacked the new equipment packaging intended to protect the pump in shipment. Still, the mattresses I have, were well built heavy duty mattresses and at the price of these replacement pumps, 2 20+ year old air mattresses are like new, at no where near the original price let alone the cost in today’s market. ... show more
