My old sleep number EFCS4-2 pump died so after reading the reviews I decided to try one of these. The install was easy and straightforward. I cut the hoses off my old pump as close to the connectors as possible and installed the new quick connect ends that came with the REM. Then I plugged in the remotes and power supply and reinflated the bed. Everything worked as expected. The pump is quiet and efficient. It uses what sounds like a diaphragm pump as opposed to the centrifugal blower that made the original pump sound like a jet engine or vacuum cleaner. So far, so good. I hope it lasts! If there is one thing I think could be done better would be to allow both sides of the bed to be controlled with each controller. As it is now each controller only controls its respective side of the bed. ... show more

This pump made my 20 year old Comfort Air Bed like brand new. I had to reinflate my mattress daily and often woke up with a backache. This pump installed in minutes and stayed inflated! Saved me the cost of a new bed! So happy with this purchase!

We have an InnoMax brand bed from Sams Club and the Dual Digital Luxury Whatever pump that came with it died. After contacting the company and being told that a replacement, under warranty, would be about $300, I looked for an alternative. Even though I had to do some DIY to make it work, I'm glad I found this one. This REM pump comes with the pump, the connectors, the power supply, the wired controllers, clips to hold controllers, and some vague instructions for the controllers. There are no instructions on how to set up or what to do with the included connectors. I'm assuming SleepNumber, etc., beds have the same type of connection..? A few of the comments and questions address the possible need for an adapter/reducer, and I knew that when I bought it, but was hoping it would work. The original InnoMax connectors were both different and design and size. Although I didn't measure it, the tubing was also too big, about the same size as the connector collar. So, I needed an adapter and a smaller piece of tubing...but I decided to just rig it together myself instead. Without getting into every detail, I was able to cut notches into the tube sides enough to force it into the threaded collar, then I was able to screw the other connector part in tightly. This was mostly a tight seal, but it was leaking in a couple of spots; a decent coating of sealant fixed that. The pump itself works well. It takes about the same time to fill as the old one, but the biggest difference is how much quieter this REM pump is. Before I wouldn't think of adding air while my wife was sleeping, it would definitely wake her up. But now it's just a low hum that you won't wake you. The controller with it's cool looking graphic to represent the bed is also a nice upgrade from the old one with just the number. The clips for the controllers are a nice little addition. It seems like they're meant for a headboard, but we hang ours on our nightstands' drawers, keeping them in place and in reach. We've been using it about a month now and so far it's not leaking at my rigged connections or anywhere else and holding. Although some instructions could have been...included, it's an otherwise nice working pump and I'd definitely recommend it as a replacement. ... show more

Replaced a very old Ideal Rest pump in our RV King air bed. The only serious challenge was getting the existing bed tubing to fit the new connections since it was thick with wire inside. After some filing of the new adapter nut and chamfering the old hose, we got it connected. Then the fun of gaining access and routing tubing and wires, a challenge only an RV can offer, the new pump worked perfectly. If you’re doing an RV, be very careful of hydraulic arms of under bed storage, they are stronger than you think, disconnect them before doing anything!     • Works well for my older Sleep Number bed

I purchased this pump because the wired remotes for my older Sleep Number bed had stopped displaying the number - much of the LCD had died on the display. It still inflated / deflated, you just had to guess where you were at on the scale. It was a bit of a pain to get this installed because the hoses that come off of the mattress are not long enough to reach to the side of the bed so I had to reach in between the headboard and mattress to cut the hoses off of the old pump and then get them installed on the new pump. Totally not the fault of this pump. Installing the hoses on the new pump was pretty easy, even in the limited space I had to work. So far the pump is great. It's quiet. The remotes work well, and it's great to be able to see everything on the remote. I wish I had known this was out there - I would have replaced my old pump/remotes a long time ago. Personally I like the wired remotes because they can't really be lost. ... show more

So easy to inflate--a Grandmother can do it by herself. At first I was concerned about taking the King-sized bed apart and disconnecting hoses and reattaching hoses and NO LEAKS. It went so smoothly.
