    • Good pouch but plastic lens clasp is flimsy

This is the second set of these lens pouches I have bought recently. First set had a zipper top and came with these small climbing crotons so you can attach the lens to a camera strap or bag strap. Decided I needed a few more with the draw strings without a zipper. It came yesterday and noticed this set had these flimsy looking plastic clasp hooks and one of them was already busted. Was going to send them back then decided to compare the larger zipper pouch to the largest one of these. These were a bigger circumference which will help me on a couple fatter lens I have. Will pick up a small bag of the smaller climbing crotons and make these work for me. Otherwise for the price point of both lens pouch will work very well for me.     • Nice set of light to mid-weight bags
These are well made lighter weight, neoprene lens cases with some nice features, including easily accessible draw-string closures (takes some effort to close) and snap-hooks so you can attach them to D-rings or similar, and a very soft interior. The set offers four sizes ranging from small, to medium-small, medium-large, and large, and can help photographers protect their gear by providing some extra padding or cushion around lenses or even electronics that may come in close contact with each other in a backpack. I don’t think they’re heavy or thick enough to help much in a fall, so extra caution in lens handling is always advised. Size wise, these cases should work well for small to medium lenses such as those for cropped sensor cameras. Of course, it depends on how you’re using or transporting your lenses, but I tried a few very common and relatively small Sony lenses such as the standard 16-50, which will fit in the smallest case, and the larger (but still small) 50-200 that fits in the medium-large case with room to spare. These may not be suitable for many larger, faster, and heavier full-frame lenses, including many Canon L-Series (e.g., 70-200 f/2.8), Sony GM or F Series, etc. While some of these lenses may actually fit in diameter or length, I prefer heavier cases with more protection and a stronger zipper closure. Whether these are the right cases for you will depend on your gear, but I like these cases a lot for the price. Again, I think they’re best for smaller, lighter weight cropped sensor lenses, and the draw string closure can be a little difficult to pull tight enough to get an effective seal as opposed to cases with zippers, but the price is fantastic and some protection is always better than none. I can easily recommend them for casual shooters, or those wanting to store or bring along some extra lenses. I'll be going on a trip up to San Fransisco shortly, and I plan on bringing along some of my photography gear. I'll only be taking a small backpack as my personal item on the plan ride there, so space is going to be very tight. I won't have room for even a camera bag, so I've been looking into other ways to protect my camera and lens. These lens pouches seem to be the perfect solution for my particular issue. They're small, light-weight, and are able to provide ample protection for both my 50mm 1.8, and my Nikon Z7. Quality-wise, they're great. The outer lining is neoprene, which is the same material that scuba suits are made from, so it's thick, spongy, and durable. The inner lining is a fuzzy, satin, and ultra-soft fabric, and it's well-suited to provide a good amount of protection without causing any abrasion. Stitching seems to be solid, as well. I gave the seams a good, strong tug and there is no give on the hemline at all. Additionally, the price is extremely reasonable all thing's considered. It's $16 for the set, or $4 per bag... which is an absolute steal imo. When it comes to negatives, I don't really have anything to report. The bags enclose using drawstrings, so they don't really seal very well. So water or sand will easily get inside if you're not careful. This could be mitigated if they had included water-tight zippers instead, but I prefer not having metal zipper teeth anywhere near my expensive camera gear. I think they made the right choice going with drawstrings. TLDR - Well-made, space-efficient, and cost-effective protection for your valuable camera gear. Easy 5/5 stars ... show more
