  • Classic Red Wing Style and Quality
Very high quality boots for the price. This pair was an addition to some other Redwings so, not a new experience. Sizing: Once you’ve been sized, I’ve found that this moc toe boot, the blacksmith or iron ranger seem about the same for me. Break usually takes me a week of wearing around the house. Some folks wear double socks to speed that up but you could end up with boots that are too loose. If you wear Allen Edmonds and have a standard width foot, size down one half size. There are several videos and reviews on sizing. If at all possible, get sized each time at the store or you could be gambling. My Redwing 3141 work chukka fit better at actual size and did not get sized down. They were not too long and did not require much of any break in. Comfort: All of these boots are like slippers once you break them in fully. Amazing transformation. Proper sizing and break in is worth it. Cleaning: Once you are used to sizing, familiar with how to clean them, Redwings will last you a long time. Review some of the cleaning videos online. Be aware the wrong oil or conditioner will darken the leather. Bicks 4 is a good non darkening conditioner. Although some patina or darkening will still occur. Especially on the copper rough and tough. ... show more

  • Great shoe - as long as you know what your size is
I did a lot of research before buying this shoe because I've read that the sizing is off. For comparisons, I'm an 11.5(D) in Adidas and Nike sneakers, 11(D) in Allen Edmonds (oxfords/boots), and a 10.5 in Timberlands. I ordered the 10.5 here based on reading reviews and my desire for a winter boot. I wanted to wear these boots in the winter in the northeast, with a fairly thick wool sock. The shoes took a few days to break in; they were not very comfortable for 4 days (Friday-Monday). They fit great with the wool sock - nice fit, sturdy, not wobbly on my foot. With a gym sock, they're loose; but that's not their purpose. Overall - very happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Super nice boots for sure.
Over all these are great boots. They do run narrow and abit long. If you need to use orthotics they get to tight. I would recommend the 877 to anyone that doesn't need orthotics. They are a gourgous boot!

  • 875 vs 10875
Here we go, I’m writing a review based on the 875vs10875 red wing moc toe boots that are similar but different. The small differences are the 10875 has black eyelets instead of nickel, has a logo stamp on the ankle, and a slight color variation. The big difference is the leather. The 875 has a more porous leather, when you condition the boot or use oil on the leather it gets darker and changes the leather over time to make a more rustic patina look. The 10875 has a waxier leather that doesn’t absorb oil as much which means it maintains the original color longer and looks less beat up when working. This is the reason the 10875 is available in the stores and the 875 is strictly heritage available mostly online. If you want the patina look go for the 875, if you want the color maintained go for the 10875. I have included a pic of my five year old 875’s which have been resoled twice with a black crepe sole vs my 10875’s which are brand new never worn. Other than what I mentioned they are identical boots and builds. They are rated as heavy duty workboots and pass electrical hazard standards. Both boots feel like you’re wearing fancy Italian leather shoes but they’re workboots, don’t be a sissy about the break in, even fancy Italian shoes have to be broken in and I don’t hear Wall Street guys complaining. Enjoy. ... show more

  • Great quality, and comfy
Love this boot! This is my husband’s second pair. They are great quality, and are built to last. The only annoying part is that they are very hard to break in, BUT once you break them in, they are so comfortable! Very trendy too!

  • Love em!
Fit first, Im 11D and 10.5D fits perfect. If you want to roll with inserts then get your normal size. If you like the leather footbed go down 1/2 size to start. Man are these some good looking boots! Comfy too. They blow iron rangers away on comfort. Once broken in these will go in the rotation of my work boots (iron rangers and beckmans). I got the 875's and must say the color is noice!! Just got em so if anything changes i will update ... show more

  • Great boot
Very good boot. As with all RedWings, you will need to take care of the leather yourself, but they are very good looking boots and feel great. I normally wear an 11, heard they ran a bit big, so I ordered a 10.5. Should have gone with a 10 but it's not a huge deal. Just go with a full size smaller if you need a snug fit. ... show more
